1TB Series X - Disc edition for $800
Asha has lost her fucking mind.

I don't understand the strategy here, if it was up to me, stop production on all Series S, and the Series X Disc. Only have Series X Digital on the market until Helix, and have 3 Console SKUs for Helix. Then let the chips fall where they may.
Still she or any other CEO for others consoles makers can't do nothing…Oh but it is. They are key players in the AI datacenter boom which helped cause all of this strife.
She (Asha) literally came from the AI department, lol.
Dat 95/5 worldwide split for gta6 gonna be legendary, on ps360 split was roughly 50/50, how the disgraceful have fallen![]()
Financing will probably end up being the most popular way to buy a next-gen console, like with new phones. I think that's what Asha was talking about with the "pushing new business models" line.We'll have to see how prices evolve in 2027, but certainly, with the current situation, the Helix/PS5 would be going for $1500+.
Everybody laughing at this, just remember PS5 is likely next.
She and her corp is part of the cause of all of this.Still she or any other CEO for others consoles makers can't do nothing…
Probably most people had ps5 at this point. Also Nintendo might follow.Everybody laughing at this, just remember PS5 is likely next.
Oh but it is. They are key players in the AI datacenter boom which helped cause all of this strife.
She (Asha) literally came from the AI department, lol.
What kind of brain-dead decision making is going back to exclusives in 2026, in the middle of this pricing crisis.
Hardware is unsellable and they're making some of their software console exclusive again lmao.
Complete shit show.
Well, look at it yourself... you're in every thread reminding people every day that Xbox exists and is stuck in your head...People here think Xbox still exists
Brand is completely dead
They were wildly overvalued anyhow.True, and I can tell you they aren't creating investor wealth. MSFT is down almost 29% over the past year.
Nah it'll probably be 75/25 or so, maybe 80/20.Dat 95/5 worldwide split for gta6 gonna be legendary, on ps360 split was roughly 50/50, how the disgraceful have fallen![]()
And there was a time they could barely give them away with cell phone plans and soda can vouchers.Series S now the same price as my launch PS5 disc edition. What an investment that turned out to be.
They already increased their prices a couple of months ago though
And Still she is a CEO of a division… She is just following orders… Is not that hard to understand… Xbox and Playstation CEOs are not happy with the prices increases, that's for sure.She and her corp was part of the cause of all of this.
They are not victims. They are part of the perversion.
so when is sonys next increase coming?
Absolutely, and I believe this initiative with XSeries is already a foundation for the logistics of Helix....Financing will probably end up being the most popular way to buy a next-gen console, like with new phones. I think that's what Asha was talking about with the "pushing new business models" line.
Both companies have already increased the price of their machines multiple times. Why would this be the last one? Micron's CEO said just today that there's unlikely to be any improvement in the market until 2028 at the absolute earliest. If you don't know how fucked things are by now, you haven't been paying attention.They already increased their prices a couple of months ago though
Poor her.And Still she is a CEO of a division… She is just following orders… Is not that hard to understand… Xbox and Playstation CEOs are not happy with the prices increases, that's for sure.
At this point, nobody is safe. NOBODY.SonyToo is inevitable
Nobody cares about this ecosystem.
Getting ready for that massive surge in demand from gta6.....Xbox Series S 512GB: $399 --> $499
Xbox Series S 1TB: $449 --> $599
Xbox Series X 1TB: $649 --> $800
Xbox Series X 1TB Digital: $599 --> $750

She is more than OK, the ones that are fucked are the gamers…Poor her.

Man, I must have slipped into a different timeline because I SWEAR it was already announced like 2-3 months ago (maybe even further back) that they were increasing the prices, including the Series X going to $799. This isn't "new" info to me.The Series X launched at $499 in Nov. 2020. In May 2025 they announced the price was going up to $599. Then in September 2025 it went up again to $649. Now it's going up to $799. So this is the third price increase announced in the last 13 months.
