I tried Nioh as well but didn't like it much.

Sekiro and that's coming from the biggest souls/soulslike hater. If you like Suda games then Romeo is good too

Sekiro & Nioh are the best games in that list, Sekiro easily one the best games ever made, that dance of parry and sword feels incredible. If you finish Sekiro, I suggest Wo Long and Rise of the Ronin next. I love the aggressive fast combat of Sekiro (and most Team Ninja titles) more than Souls combat. (ER & Neightreign are fine, the world and variety makes up for it)

I finally beat Sekiro this year after getting stuck on The Owl first battle in 2019. That's what you need to do too.
