Halo: Campaign Evolved - Review Thread

-Work on halo 1-3 remakes same time for all 3 for the campaigns
-Dedicated MP team creates a new MP focused game
-The MP has major sweeping updates when a new campaign launches
-Small refreshes and season in between to build up to new campaigns

Essentially launch halo 1 campaign and the MP is included in deluxe or sold separately.
1-2 years later drop halo 2 and major update. 1-2 years later drop halo 3 and major update.

Then if it's a success have work on odst and each also be worked on as halo 2 is about to launch and if it's not doing so hot then don't do the odst and reach updates.

This would give them a 5+ year roadmap with constant revenue and keep folks happy.

After this is all done, launch a new halo SP game with new console gen and either overhaul the MP if it's a success or create a new one if needed.

Just got done watching Gmanlives' review, epic stuff. He's right for one thing, where the fuck is enemy AI in modern games? Early 2000s were very good at this.

I watched this earlier in the day, the point about the game putting markers on cloaked Elites in the "kill all enemies" rooms is such an oversight, lol.

That just defeats the whole point of cloaked elites.

Yea, I wonder if there's an option to remove enemy markers? Either way, likely patched in near future.

Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Now explain to me what the geopolitical climate has to do with reviewing a game and potentially docking points from it. 10 points if you give an honest answer without the lol emoji. 🙏

You failed in putting dualshockers in there as a sony website, they aren't. Xbox era is 100% an xbox fanboy site, there are others on that list as well with high scores, don't act a fool AA.

Ok so I'm on ps5 professional and every cut scene has insane crushed blacks. Like really fucking bad.

How to fix for this title?

The reason why there is no hype is that although Halo CE is a classic it's also a 25 year old game.

Unless you have nostalgia or have interest in videogame history it won't do much for you.
 
Early access bullshit is so trash. Wouldnt support this bs. Considering pirates have their way with the game, and legitimate Halo fans have to wait for their shitty early access shit to be over
 
I know I said I wanna gonna play this to be able to better shit on it, but the more videos I see, the more tired I get. Racking my brain to think of a remake that did more to shit on the game it was remaking. Maybe Oblivion Remaster forgoing a distinct art style and just giving us random UE5 survival game aesthetic.

It's hard to even empathetically get into that thinking to see where people are coming from. During the run up to this I never thought "man I wish Halo CE switched to Pixar humans and used electric oversaturated Fortnite color grading. Oh and speed up the entire game 1.5x, add iron sights and sprint. Also, please trash every interior, ruin every covenant model and make it so that I'm blind anytime I fire the new sniper accurate assault rifle. And I want Elites to animate like a strafing roller skater"

Those are sandbox choices but the environments themselves look decent to me. Mint Blitz gave it a 7 and said the atmosphere of the levels was the best part. I'll see when I play.
