lol OP...
They said it was NOT a game... it's about as much of a game as the FFVII PS3 tech demo was.
http://modernxgames.blogspot.gr/2012/09/a-tech-demo-de-agnis-philosophy-sera-o.html
"The first Final Fantasy for the next generation has already been shown to the world, it comes to the tech-demo Agni's Philosophy , which was shown at E3 2012 along with the Luminous Engine.
Confirmation comes through Yoshihisa Hashimoto , technical director of the company, who said " Agni's Philosophy is a Final Fantasy ", without elaborating on the exact target platforms or a possible release date. recently has been known as the domain of Final Fantasy XV, Finalfantasyxv.com , is owned by Square Enix . Perhaps the first installment of the popular series from Square Enix, Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 include the number 15 in the nomenclature. Check out a video demo of the tech-Agni's Philosophy:"

Something “different” around Agni’s Philosophy, Square Enix’s next generation, Luminous Studio-based tech demo, will be revealed around June of next year (E3, we take it), Square Enix worldwide technology director Julien Merceron has teased. And whatever it is, it will run on “different platforms.”
“So, around June of next year, there will indeed be something different around Agni’s Philosophy, which will be presented on, perhaps, different platforms than those which have been used before,” Merceron told FFDream.
Asked if that meant it wouldn’t be running on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, Merceron teased, “I can tell you that it will not run only on PC!”
If you have relevant sources that show that, I will be glad to amend it. So far I'm going based off of two sources where Square has highly alluded to it being a game or a type of FF:
And here:
The new Xbox requires Crackdown 3.
Crackdown 3 would be jizzworthy.
Could be good as long as it's absolutely nothing like 2.
Could be good as long as it's absolutely nothing like 2.
Sad to see Cryek making an Xbox exclusive. It's like Bungie all over again
You like Crackdown? Thumbs up, sir.

Well I didn't like it as much as I liked future open world games like Just Cause 2 but at the time it was pretty cool. It hit my friend a lot harder, he was addicted to getting those damn orbs lol. I remember going over to his house one day and in the 7 hours I was there he spent the entire time finishing them all for the achievement. Blew me away to see that kind of dedication when he usually has bad gaming ADD and likes to jump around to different stuff.
So? It's good competition, Microsoft definitely needs the exclusives.
Is Budapest doing this?
Damn those orbs...
Was really hyped for 2 but yeah it was more of the same and they removed some of my favourite stuff from the game (no transforming cars... wtf).
Is Budapest doing this?
Amen.Could be good as long as it's absolutely nothing like 2.

And here:
RPG Site: Is it kind of hard to then think you're going to walk away from this work on a concept and a universe without releasing an actual game in it?
Hashimoto: Well - that's true, yeah. However, because it's not a game it did give us more freedom - we were kind of liberated. We could think about different things.
RPG Site: You guys have a nice little logo, shirts with the studio name on it... that seems pretty big for a tech development team. Is this a team we may see develop actual product later down the line?
Hashimoto: Well, the team will remain a research and development team that will be able to offer and propose a game engine and technology to internal people and studios.
We probably won't create a game - we'll continue to work on R&D that will give a better capability to our company.
I spoke to the Luminous team myself and they stressed repeatedly that the tech demo was not a game.

Some quotes from my interview:
For your second quote, they're likely referring to the Luminous Engine itself. It wouldn't be surprising to see it running on an actual console rather than PC for E3.
Hey you're forgetting Beyond Good & Evil 2. I've been waiting years for this game. It better come out next gen! XD
Who made the Destiny logo image? Destiny.com is a dating site, strangely.
I see. When did you conduct the interview? My 2nd quote was less than 2 months ago. In any case, there seems to be directly contradictory responses from Square Enix... I'll label it as a 50/50 chance. Fair enough?
So? It's good competition, Microsoft definitely needs the exclusives.
No it isn't. It's M$ being lazy. So rather than seeing a relatively independent and successful developer make their games on the platforms they want, you'd rather see M$ (or alternately Sony) just buy them up?
Gamers do not benefit in this situation. If they keep doing this, they'll never develop their own internal resources and will continue to drain from the PC/multiplaform space.
All M$ is doing in this situation is taking...nothing really is given back. Honestly, this is why I don't like M$ in the console space. They don't really have anything to add in terms of game development power. All they've done is buy or lock-down PC/multiplatform devs. It isn't like these games wouldn't be made if they weren't involved.
Star War 1313 screenshots have popped up on Sony Germanys Facebook page, albeit older shots, it indicates that PS3 will be one of the systems the shooter is release on. Announced by Lucasarts pre-show at E3 2012, platforms other than PC were never confirmed, leading the public to wonder if it was a this-gen or next-gen console release. Lucasarts was purchased by Disney in October last year, prompting the developer to assure fans the titles development was not affected. Star Wars 1313 is slated for release in 2013 on PC. Sounds like StarWars 1313 might not be for next generation consoles at all.
Why has all the Wii U games been removed? That makes this thread not-so comprehensive.
Also, there's no way those Rainbow Six and Good & Evil 2 screenshots are next-gen. Looks like beta footage for X360 & PS3.
I plan to keep it updated constantlyI wonder when we'll start to hear details of next-gen games like DA 3, Watch_Dogs, Battlefield 4 etc... I'm impatient.
Still, come E3, this thread will be packed.
Stop toying with my heart.I'm looking forward to seeing the new NCAA Football game from 2K Sports...
Time for 2K to take back football.
All Pro Football was in no way garbage. It does things that Tiburon still hasn't accomplished in Madden of NCAA. The problem was that they didn't put their full effort into it because they didn't think it would sell and they were expecting the license to open up again. The only sports game 2K is doing well lately is NBA 2K. Their MLB, NHL games suck vs. EA's/Sony's offerings, and All Pro Football 2K8 was garbage.
ESPN NFL 2K5 was a loooong time ago.
I wonder when we'll start to hear details of next-gen games like DA 3, Watch_Dogs, Battlefield 4 etc... I'm impatient.

MS trademarks "Gunpowder"
Is game related somehow, may be a title?

This thread deserves a bump and an OP update, now that we have more info on The Witcher 3.
Looks like I'm going to have to have the title edited to say PS4/720 games instead of next gen games since people keep insisting on including Wii U games.

You can add this bitch to the OP
just discovered this thread and it might be shinobi's best thread he ever made.
XboxNext.
I never really liked the '720' business, and signs don't point to them going that route anyhow
