Asmongold: Eldritch Gamer

Hasan is a far left terrorist supporter who happens to hate Asmongold. Take anything related to him with a mountain of salt and run far away.

I have nothing to say about Asmon himself. Don't watch him, and don't care.
Hasan is a terrorist supporter with microcephaly but he is not far left. He is a neo marxist bourgeois who comes from a loaded family and his lifestyle is everything but far left or even left for that matter. The fact that this barely cognizant tool was raised as the voice of the left for the younger generation, similar to AOC, proves he is a total plant and will never advance the leftist cause.

Also he has absolute social climber tastes when it comes to clothing, which is mindboggling since he comes for money, but I suppose rich american turks are not that well educated.

Asmon on the other hand is real white trash and made himself alone without help for all i know. He is also fun, i liked the bit where his audience pays to show videos on stream and they inundate him with gachimuchi videos it was very fun. For all his flaws (being unkempt is a glaring one) he seems like a good sort who did not change with success.

So like 90% of all other modern day "leftists"?
Tonight Show Comedian GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

That is why having those brainless cosplayers put on a pedestal is infuriating for any true leftists, far or not.

Considering gaf's predominant political leaning (I love gaf, so that's pretty much one of the few things I'm critical of), you shouldn't trust everything you hear, so do your own research on Piker (the UK ban situation is interesting in itself, and no surprise considering where the pressure came from).

Btw, I used to absolutely hate the guy when I was "a member" of the Assmoldgrowth cult, and I even told him "Fuck you" in a Twitch chat where he actually read my comment on stream... I felt good about that at the time. Funny how thing can change once you dig beneath the surface.
What changed your mind?

Except he doesn't? He's criticized Trump several times for being weak and probably has more videos covering the Epstein files than any other streamer on Twitch, which the Trump base wouldn't like. He's also said he didn't vote for Trump in the election and likely still wouldn't vote for him if he could go back.

If you think he's too much of an armchair quarterback or too extreme regarding what should be done to terrorists and criminals, I can understand that. But he's really not a Trump dickrider, he's criticized and disagreed with him several times.
Yes I've heard him make fun of Trump in the past too but what I was originally questioning was has this changed in the last year or 2? Has he been acting more like one of his fanatical followers in more recent times? I don't watch a lot of him but what I have seen seems like one way traffic recently.

Yes that's a fair point and something I would normally try to do.

and he recently used a Mao Zedong-like outfit in a convention

I wonder if his haters are the biggest audience or he really has a majority with dictator sympathizers, because the gamer side of the guy is basically gone
In which the "no borders" people kicked people out of their borders.

I think the biggest change was from seeing droves of people on the political left celebrating things like the October 7 attacks and the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Yeah, animal abuse is a pretty big fault. It makes me sad that we don't have strong laws that protect animals. If we did, people like Hasan would not be allowed to keep a dog that he doesn't allow to move for hours on end and shocks if she does.

What changed your mind?

I stopped giving a shit about tribal camps and started questioning my own bias. Especially around selective empathy and outrage culture.

Stopped latching on to negative excesses of things and focusing on the core issues, and that also changed how I view things.

I mean, ok this is just a gaming forum, but look at some of the posts in this thread, there's hardly concern for facts: "He's torturing his dog, so he must be a bad person". It fits the narrative, and the cult approves the message, so the fact that this is false get pushed aside.

I just don't want to be another useful idiot for false narratives, period. Still far from good at it, still learning, still doing mistakes.

TLDR: I suddenly realized that my side was acting much the same as we accused the other side of doing.

Both asmon and hasan are run by the same management company. They both use the same view bots. They make money "reacting" to each other. Its all a big club and you ain't in it.

Yet here you are, still hating on a random streamer with the same fervor as other large online "tribes" while defending another that doesnt deserve it. You keep doing 180s you just gonna keep coming back to the same place.

Gaf today is the result of a migration of all the mentally deranged leftists who moved to RE because this website was not pure enough. Gaf does not have a political leaning, the moderation stays in its lane and will not punish you for your political ideas if you behave. They actually REMOVED politics for exactly that reason. The issue is that every single time there is space for both sides to express their opinions, the space is considered right-wing. You can absolutely come here and tell us that trans women are women and some people will try to have a conversation with you (others will just be dicks). Go on RE and try to state the contrary though and the ban will happen immediatel.

Even on X, that people accuse of being far right, plenty of leftists are free to express their opinions and get hundreds of thousands of likes. If you don't come across anything offensive to you, you're not somewhere with free speech.

I consider Hasan Piker dangerous. The trope of socialists being hypocrites is old and proven (all highly educated, middle class, never working while claiming to be for the working class). They ryle their clueless base against the enemy, "the rich" and "the corporations" and "capitalism" the same way the right points the finger at "the gays" and "the immigrants" and "the blacks". Both of these are dangerous brought to the extreme, but also have a point to ask questions where they see problems. The issue with Piker and many of his friends (as well as many on the "woke right") is that they are anti-western and happy to work with and for our enemies. It doesn't matter they don't believe that shit and just do it for cash

This is OTK erasure
Asmon was a multi-millionaire before OTK.

What changed your mind?

He stopped living in reality? Hasan Piker has actually gotten worse over the years, so if you've gone from hating him to defending him you haven't actually learned anything and are further into the bullshit then when you started.

Fuck the dog, Hasan literally supports terrorists, he platforms them, he's called for political violence multiple times. He larps as his hero, who killed 40+ fucking million people. These aren't just my "bias" btw, these are verifiable, irrefutable, facts.

The idea that he did, or did not, shock his dog doesn't rate on the piece of shit scale when it comes to this man. It's just the cherry on top, like his frat bro misogynistic shit that he immediately reverts back to any time it's a woman he doesn't like, or the fact that he frequented a known trafficking brothel multiple times and bragged about it. He's a garbage human being through and through.

He was zapping that dog for some time, there's more than one clip by now out there. The collar manufactuter confirmed it was a shock collar. He was also caught on camera mistreating his previous dog, at least twice from what I personally saw. One thing he was right about, is when he said lying was OP.

Even ignoring all that, Hasan Piker is an evil person and you don't need some youtuber or a cult to help you arrive at that conclusion, the man literally cosplays Mao Zhedong and throws support behind CCP, IRGC and Houthis among other equally fun groups and ideologies responsible for slaughter of their own people and terrorist acts. That alone should give pause to any sane person.

Especially when it comes to these two, I hate how people think you must be tribalistic and it's a CHOOSE ONE OR THE OTHER scenario. Both can be pieces of shit with horrible takes. It's entirely possible to criticize one of them but that doesn't mean you're pro-the either one.

Parasocial relationships at its worst.
