Cdpr isn’t even doing the work on the game saber interactive is doing it
They are using their manpower for something else, the witcher next gen patch is done by Saber.I don't understand the allure of doing a next gen version of the Witcher since it's pretty old. Why not use the resources on something else?
I finished both Ascent and Cyberpunk. Ascent is visually amazing and great game, but Cyberpunk goes ten miles deeper in Cyberpunk themes than Ascent does.Just play The Ascent. The devs actually understood how to make a cyberpunk setting, unlike CDPR
Saber who? Whats the track record for this company? They are using their manpower for something else, the witcher next gen patch is done by Saber.

Thx, sounds promising, since the GTA Trilogy debacle i'm sceptical with this stuff.Saber Interactive - Wikipedia

They already ported Witcher 3 to Switch. And Crysis trilogy. And are working on Kingdom Come for Switch. They are very very busy and do great work.
Just the little problem of not being the game they promised. What are the main problems with the console versions at this point? Are there still alot of glitches or just performance stuff?
lol yesssss that meme gets me every time! lolI still hope they'll eventually give us the Deus Ex GTA we'd been promised.

I understand, but I also want to be a little sympathetic towards that developers, they already have a massive trash fire in the form of cyberpunk to take care of as well, adding another big project on top of that couldn't have been easy for them.

I'd rather wait for Ubisoft, Rockstar or Square to just give us that. They likely see all the money that can be made with the sci fi concept and can just avoid all the shit this team did.
Aren’t both of the next gen update being done by a third party and not CD Project directly?
The vast majority of the time developers deliver good or great next gen versions of their games. I really wonder what they have been doing all this time. No gameplay footage either, so low expectations at the moment: they probably spent all their time on patches. This is why its easy for me to skip consoles (at least for now) and stick to PC. I have been playing next gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 since 2020

Cyberpunk designer responds to lack of police chases: ‘Elden Ring won’t have them either’
“I don’t think that the Sonic or the Elden Ring open-world game will have it”
On track to meet target dates? I thought both of these updates were scheduled for 2021?
It's not really clear if Saber is doing the next gen upgrade or simply porting the work CDPR is doing to console.Cdpr isn’t even doing the work on the game saber interactive is doing it

how funny would it be if they spend the entire gen fixing their games instead of making new ones? what the hell is happening to this industry?
On-topic.
The Witcher actually already has a pretty solid 1200p~60 FPS mode on the Xbox version if anyone wants to try it that way.
I just hope they don't axe the high frame rate mode whenever they launch the RT update. Keep the RT stuff and let there still be a performance mode separate for those who want it.
That's a weird take because Cyberpunk sucks on PC all the same (same meaningless open world, same bad sidequests, same dumb ai, same lack of impactful choices, same useless life paths...) and it's basically the only AAA game that focused on PC first anyway.
not really. Lets not drag the PC version down to the console trash level.
They are rushing games to please shareholders.how funny would it be if they spend the entire gen fixing their games instead of making new ones? what the hell is happening to this industry?

Ubisoft already tried. It was called Watch Dogs 3 and it was honestly great with dealing any sleep problems you might have, just play that game and you'll be fast asleep before you know it.
That’s certainly not the fact. The PC is certainly not down to the same level as console, no matter how much you choose to not believe. The PC is certainly on a much superior state than the consoles, with better graphics, better performance, less technical issues, better support and more. That's a fact, the PC has exactly the same systems as the other versions, whether you like it or not.
The AI is the same, the RPG systems are the same, the side quests are the same... Sure, the turd looks better on PC, and it performs a lot better than old gen console versions but... as a RPG, it's still a turd. There's no depth or real consequences to what you do until the very end.
As a linear action adventure game though, I'd say it's okay (both on next gen consoles and PC) because characters and story were okay.
You didn't read his comment. He said it's "systems" are the same as console. The systems such as stats, crafting, gameplay, police, etc. The post even acknowledged that graphics and performance are better on PC. The only "system" I can think of that's better on PC is the NPC density and the Series X has the higher density setting so I'm not sure that counts. That’s certainly not the fact. Streamers relationship with devs/pubs and the amount of shilling being done by them is a big problem right now.Hiring people not good enough for the roles they are employed in
Shills defending mediocrity for their own benefit
A “haters gonna hate” mentality that’s a detriment to the quality of a product
The consumer handing over their money is taken for granted and in many cases they are sadly correct in their assumption
A growing trend of streamers farting on lit cigarettes whilst humming the theme to Dallas is having a negative impact on a developers thought process

Right, the game is broken or substandard in so many areas. You didn't read his comment. He said it's "systems" are the same as console. As far as Cyberpunk goes, PS5 owners should get a reasonable upgrade. Xbox owners should expect nothing.
The following is all speculation:
CDPR spent a year getting the Playstation versions working with reasonable performance. Almost certainly because Sony yanked the game from their store. Microsoft allowed the game to continue being sold, so CDPR didn't bother with any optimizations. They know they have to deliver a good experience on Playstation, but Microsoft doesn't really care.
note: Ignore the version numbers listed in the screenshots. Both Techfuse and EADB indicated in their video notes that they forgot to update their overlay text. These performance tests were all from the latest patch.
Because even thought it came out in 2015 Witcher 3 is still one of the best open-world RPGs on the market today. Many people would love to replay it with minimal load times and 60FPS.I don't understand the allure of doing a next gen version of the Witcher since it's pretty old. Why not use the resources on something else? And I hope the next gen patch for Cyberpunk 2077 isn't bug ridden.
