I thought that, but no: the 360 had very specific restrictions on what you could do with the eDRAM and a trade off was that certain fillrate-munching operations like alpha blending were much quicker on 360. There are no such advantages with the Xbone architecture, but there are more headaches because of the added flexibility. So there are indeed extra complications/headaches with the Xbone that weren't present in the 360.Xbox one is just 360 part 2 architecture wise isn't it?
In fact I think the argument is that the eSRAM of Xbone isn't even supposed to be used like the eDRAM in the 360. That would be practically like learning a whole new architecture.
