Yup.
Ah ok, thanks. You can do that in DQ8 for the 3DS, so it's not too new.
Those battle transition times on 3DS are not bad. Not bad at all!

Really hope the Switch version is PS4 based and not 3ds.

Okay... but why?
Okay... but why?
didn't they say so already?
Not crazy. It looks nice and retains a lot of the DQ charm, while keeping the 3DS' limitations in mind.As crazy as it sounds...I think I like the look of the 3DS version more than the PS4 one. I'll gladly purchase both if given the option of course, but something about the 3DS version just looks more charming.
Because making the two sync up for the entire duration of the game would be extremely difficult, and would definitely compromise the design of both?
That 3DS bottom screen looks like RPG Maker crap.
are they really the same game with the same story? 3DS/PS4

I hink you can switch between animated and 2D spritesWish the 2D Battle had animated sprites.
Man, this to me just look better lol
Please be this for the Switch version.
Edit: I mean look at that fool running around, so charming.
If you use the dpad to control the game, you get the 2D battles. Slide pad = 3D battles. That's how it's set up.
Tbh, I'm actually more excited for the 3DS version of the game than I am the PS4 one, though I'll end up playing both.
Retro mode now.
Twist: Switch version ends up getting all 3 on one cart.Switch version will be PS4 version when docked, 3DS version when undocked.
I wish the 3DS version gets localized. I love that classic DQ look and feel.
