I think, especially in Europe and even in the US, that you are seeing a backlash by people who see these countries (more so in Europe) as having been built by white, homogenous societies.

The systems, rights and privileges others want to avail of where not built by them .... so they have no right to it, only what is allowed. The decision by some has been taken that they are not allowing it anymore.


The above is about as simple as I can distil what I percieve to be their point of view.
