Comparison to the Killzone games?
Hell, the whole predict the biggest flop of 2017 is one of funniest thread in retrospect since predict next gen console thread from 2012.Even funnier when a dude said they'd be lucky to hit 2 million ltd
Horizon's release date was announced before Zelda's release date was announced.
Best debut for any GG game. I don't think any Killzone game came even close. This is a very positive launch.
Nirolak, how does it compare to TLOU?
TLOU sold 1.3 mio copies in its first week
3.4 Mio in less than 3 weeks
There is going to be an expansion. It's in the opGG GG.
Almost done with the Platinum.
I hope there's an expansion in the near future.
TLOU sold 1.3 mio copies in its first week
3.4 Mio in less than 3 weeks
100% deserved. Guerrilla Games is officially on the map now for me. Will closely monitor any future games.
Comparison to the Killzone games?
"This is only the beginning of Aloy's story and our exploration of the world of Horizon Zero Dawn, with the team already hard at work on an expansion to the story."
Yeah.Holiday Bundles incoming.
TLOU sold 1.3 mio copies in its first week
3.4 Mio in less than 3 weeks
Afaik the budget was around $50 million so 1.5 million should do the trick. Also, while the number sounds good, any guesses as to how much it would require to sell to break even?
Love this game but have to admit I expected more, seems it's not gonna reach the 6M figure I've anticipated.
If they bundle this with a PS4 slim this fall they'll sell an extra 2.6 million on top of that. This game is the perfect way to show someone why they need a PS4.
How did The Division perform? As far as new IPs are concerned. Although it wouldn't be fair since it is multiplatform.
Even James Cameron moved his Avatar release date once he saw Disney move Star Wars for the same date. It did get overshadowed somewhat, but Horizon deserves attention. I'm enjoying both. And THEY ARE BOTH DIFFERENT!!! Wish more people realized that.
A lot of L's in that flop thread for this game.Fantastic game, about to hit my Platinum now and maybe dive into Gravity Rush 2 before my Switch arrives. Really, just thinking about the possibilities for a sequel is pretty exciting, this is a great new IP to work on, just don't play it safe GG, build upon this world with expansions and DLC, but really bring in the new gameplay ideas and innovate on the formula for the sequel. So much potential here.
Also, there was sooooo much concern for this game, think it was even popular as one of the flops of 2017. Gameplay wins guys...when a game gets praised for being fun, it's always more likely it'll turn out great.
yup, Horizon is probably at 3 million shipped right now. Also shipment numbers for TLoU.
