From what I can garner from the context, the first image is kind of funny with what's happening, but the linked pic is just...what the hell.

They didn't even try to make her look older than 10 and the pose isn't even close to 'ambushed-in-the-tub". Way creepy.

The defense of deliberately antagonistic and equally necessary quasi-paedophillia, stretching the bounds of decency but not breaking it is rather repugnant and should not be condoned.

In fact, the 'it's not real so it's ok' defence is hilariously misguided at best and totally delusional at worst.

If anyone can explain why children are naked in the battle screen and how it intrinsically links to the story, I'll be amazed.

I just don't understand how people can find these characters and all the childish sexual innuendos appealing?

I have to review a game right now called Omega quintet and I am honestly embarrassed to play it in front of my girlfriend.

I've defended the dancers but Atlus putting a hentia trope in the game is too much.

The series sells very well without pandering to the pervs, there is no need for them to do this and if anything it'll put westerners off the series and Japanese games in total.

I was never going to get the DLC anyway, this doesn't help either. Just the DLC in general in EO seems to be garbage. I just hope future games don't have this DLC.

The real issue with this game is that Europe has to wait till 2016.

The character in the OP isn't even a loli. Art style sure triggers weird reactions in people.

Edit: I guess I missed the linked pic. Welp.

Etrian Odyssey games might be the best selling DRPGs these days, and a big part of it is the artistic direction the series has.

I am still playing through Untold 1. I am enjoying it but the main series appeal, drawing your own maps, I'm over it. I just automap.

As far as the creepy drawings, I would appreciate this kind of stuff being jettisoned from DRPG's forever. Doesn't mean the art style has to change, I think the art style is fine. Japanese developed DRPG's seem to attract these kinds of creepy things in greater measure than other genres, for some reason.

This what I don't get.......is this really necessary?

There are three groups of people that have different reactions to such images/games.

The first finds the images cute. They like the way they look but don't find them sexually appealing. Full on porn would repulse such people. These people do exist, even if some can't wrap their heads around it.

The second don't care. It's nothing to them. Maybe they'd rather they not be there, but they just ignore it and play the game/enjoy the show/whatever and it doesn't dampen their experience.

And the third hate it and it does ruin their experience. It makes them feel uncomfortable or repulsed.

Neither of these above groups are wrong or right.

Of course, there's a fourth, but we won't touch those.

You know you are going to get the reply of "They just strapped tits to a X year old." right?

This is why I don't play JRPGs like I always used to back in the SNES and PS1 days.

Ayla from Chrono Trigger's design. People would bitch a moan if she was created today.

This is a far cry from the dancer that everyone whines about, to be sure. It'll be a damn shame if EOU2 discussion gets shut down because of this.

I knew from the start that Chloe was nothing but trouble.

This

Is supposed to be a "cute" child running with a towel?

I won't consider it "sexy" anime chick picture for sure. Eh, I dunno man. I'm not Japan Cultural Expert. Maybe that's normal in Japanese bath house. I just know that I'm not sure anyone with normal mind would find it arousing.

Am I on some kind of list now for having seen that?

FBI please you've got to understand, I didn't know what I was about to see.

Honestly, so many potentially cool japanese games ruined by over sexualized lolis.
It's really annoying

Does anyone wants to fill me in about this "dragons meme" ?

Probably aready been answered but just in case:

Fire Emblem Awakening has a system that lets you hook up your characters and have them start a relationship (you can even recruit their children later on).

One of the characters, called Nowi, looks like a 10 years old girl (whose basically weaing a bikini, btw) and you can hook her up with much older looking characters. The way for Nintendo to "make this ok" is some bs explanation that she is actually a 10,000 years old dragon.
To me the fact that she looks like she is 10 is already creepy enough. But the the thing that really makes the whole explanation feel like BS is that not only does she look young but she also acts like a small kid.

It didn't take long for this to veer off topic. We're not going to ban EOU2, so chill out. And for the persecution force that just showed up, if you have a problem with policy or moderation practices, take it up with us in private.
