I smell a delay coming.....This is all too weird.
No way...Microsoft must be dozens working 24/7 to put system as good as possible on Nov 22th. Serious.
I smell a delay coming.....This is all too weird.
so here is my question. should reviewers deduct points from the xbone version if its running at a lower resolution or looks worse compared to the ps4 version?
Seems like the Sessler thing might be related to his job rather than perceived Xbox news? Anybody else get that inclination?
It has taken on a mind of its own. You can't stop it. It'll wade through you, reach down your living room, and pull your fucking Kinect out.

It's a really great alternative for those of us not getting laid tonight.
But Sessler said he was looking forward to this weekend and that something happened to make him not look forward to the weekend. I mean what would ruin your weekend? It would not be something earth shattering that consumers would be concerned with. To me it reads more like he was looking forward to playing X and then something happened and now he is not.
The X1 specs aren't that far behind the PS4's, right? I mean going from 1080 to 720 seems pretty drastic, especially for a COD game. What am I missing?
He said it has nothing to do with Xbox
Consumers get hurt by reviewers not getting consoles. I'd like them to have as long as possible to experience them before writing up their reviews. It honestly sounds to me like they are crying because they are not getting their review consoles as planned. Maybe they decided to send out the review consoles closer to launch but initially they were going to send them out early.
It would explain why some people in the press are upset: "I was looking forward to this weekend" for example. It would also explain why people are saying Xbox Reviews are being delayed. It's also a "stupid" reason as Gies said.
If that is the case, sorry guys, I don't feel bad for you. Guess you'll have to wait like the rest of us. At least you don't have to spend $500 plus tax on yours.
or maybe there's NOTHING WRONG and you guys are going nuts over these stupid tweets from stupids STOP IT

This thread exploded since I went out. Regarding the latest tweets...what if Microsoft is leaving the videogame industry or looking to sell that division?
Yes, of course.
Same thing happened with multiplats between PS3/360.
Followed by "....." seeming to suggest it really does but he's under orders not to talk about it.
But it's supposed to be based around Windows 8, which sounds stable enough. So in a way it just makes this even more crazy. The One seems to be running on 3 different OSes from what I've read, so the possibility for fuckups is certainly a lot higher than the 360, especially when at least one of them is based on Windows. :-/
Again, if all that info from months back still is correct.
Yes, they have. Windows ME was God-awful. My old Compaq Presario desktop (64MB RAM, 30GB HDD) would lock-up multiple times a day because of it.
Someone else made a post w/ the definition (can't find it, this thread's moving too fast), basically about Quaker ideologies or something in 1950s America regarding not being intimidated to speak the truth on stuff. What the hell is he even getting on about? "Truth to power" lmao.
What if MS announces a launch delay? That'd be heeeeelarious....
Why would anyone assume it was Xbox related? Besides wanting the Xbone to fail.Wait Gies/Sessler doomspeak is not related to Xbox One at all?! What the hell is going on, haha? And what reveal? Something revealed when?!

Generally no. Games should be evaluated based on their own hardware. The Xbox One is less powerful than the PS4, so games are expected to look somewhat worse. That said, if performance is an issue, or if graphics are worse than they should be even accounting for the hardware difference, then sure.
Well that's definitely a possibility, but Ballmer is still CEO. The wheels wouldn't be put into motion until after he was gone.
I've been thinking the same thing. I would trust a Klepek report.
Really? I mean with that logic, then the PC version running at 4k should be scored 10's and the PS4/Xbox One version of games a 6.

I know the thing about choice and freedom and all, but would really this be something worthy of an embargo?

Everything I track down goes back to this reddit thread from yesterday.

no? No its not a possibility. MS isn't leaving the game industry right before its console launches and its spent millions on marketing deals and advertising.
2 tweets all of a sudden means madness? What am I missing?
Here is the gist
1. Xbox one is struggling to reach 1080p resolution on some of their games due to immature tool sets and esRAM which is currently hindering ease of development
2. The OS itself is likely buggy and will be on launch date
3. DRM fix might not come on launch date

You are going to actually believe that?
