I'm glad I checked out this thread for this alone. Playlisted.La Vie d'Adèle
I'm just amazed that anyone's a fan of Suda's since Killer 7.
All his shlock has been just that, shlock, since. I kind of wonder if Killer 7 was just a fluke. Instead, his publishers spend his marketing budget advertising a cosplayer instead of the game itself.
Even Dragon's Crown's porny pictures are all fanart. Anything with the sorceress also shows gameplay rather than just slow panning shots with nothing going on.
I don't get how anyone could find NMH boring but to each their own, I guess. This thread actually reminded me that I never tried Shadows or Lollipop so I went and picked them up (new) from GameStop last night. Great job at drumming up business for Suda, Matt!
Great, more male feminist dribble. It's just getting sad at this point.
SUDA51 games have a ton of style and flair. But they are, generally, subpar games. His most solid game was Shadows of the Damned, and even then, that's probably due to Shinji Mikami's involvement.
That being said, people who get upset about sexism in Shinji Mikami's games are the same people who complain about racism in Tarantino movies.
NMH is a relatively bad character action game that's dripping in style. So is Lollipop Chainsaw. Shadows of the damn is a fairly subpar 3rd person shooter that's dripping in style. Those games are WAAAAAY more fun to watch than they are to play. Bottomline, Suda51 needs a team of talented designers and programmers behind him to make his games fun to play instead of complex eyecandy.

I like a lot of Videogamer.com's videos and everything (rarely visit their site aside from the YT channel), but I think Matt Lees seems a bit in love with himself. Calling people names like the above Tweet will really do him no favours.
I think it says a lot about him that he has to get up on a soap box and mock the people rightfully criticizing him for a terribly shortsighted and misinformed video that had nothing to do on the game's quality itself.
So... congratulations, one review outlet agreed with you about the game being misogynist I guess?
The two comments by him are a display of idiocy.
I think it says a lot about people in this thread who interpreted his criticism for a specific section of the game as a criticism of the entire game. Newsflash he liked the rest of the game except for Gigilo mode.
I don't understand all this 'misogyny' hubbub as of lately. What's up with that?
