And I mean beyond the virtue signalling. Do you think a portion of the Earth morally "belongs" to a people that first set foot there? That first made fire and camped there? And can it be definitively determined that no prehistoric hominids did so earlier? Is there some universal concept of 'finders keepers' where peoples hundreds or thousands of years in the future are supposed to feel bad because some ancestors of another genetic line were there first?

Yeah its a pretty dumb concept isnt it.

I think it’s a bit silly especially since it has nothing to do with anyone alive today. But I guess if it makes someone feel better, kind of an empty thing to say though. 🤷‍♂️

And you can bet if it had to be done all over again nothing would change.
