This industry is more milky than Hollywood.
Horizon was lots of things, "original" wasn't one of them. So it actually makes sense.
Your post is just as shit as the one you quoted.
Not at all, developers get influenced by one another all the time.yeah that's kinda embarrassing
The irony that the developers famous for the other popular Horizon franchise making a "Horizon: ZD-like" game is quite amusing. If this is the playground games new IP, then this is a huge deal.
I'll buy whatever they make next.

"Samey" in what sense? Any examples?Ripping off something unoriginal doesn't really help their case. Obviously there is a lot of context to a situation like this, but I wouldn't exactly throw them a line in good faith these days. All of their games seem to be samey or derivative and if they aren't, they get one entry or are canceled before they hit.
You could say i'm a bit bitter of my Xbox One purchase which showed much more promise in the start than it has managed to live up to, especially with the whole Scalebound fiasco.
Good observation. The job listing also specifically says "Microsoft game" so that could be a sign that they signed up Playground's new IP after all. If true, a very good move on their part. This is most likely Playground's game.

Look at the client list
And as you can see, Playground is still looking for a lead environment lead like this job post from Linkedin

UK-based recruiter so could be another team at Rare or Playground's second game (which we know is an open-world action adventure).

Good to see them being very original.
Meh. I stopped playing Horizon about 80% or so through because it was a reskinned Ubisoft game. I have no interest in a reskinned reskin on Xbone.
lol, what is this nonsense?Horizon was lots of things, "original" wasn't one of them. So it actually makes sense.
I don't know if that was confirmed. Either that or it could be a Titanfall-like situation with a 3PP.Good catch. Although isn't Playground's next Mulitplat? Unless, when Phil signed some new IP's this week it was Playground?
Edit: Above me. lol
Interesting. One of G3D's clients is Playground Games.

They're working on an open-world action game.

I expect a lot of innovation in areas of adding micro transactions to it

Yeah I played so many games where I play a huntress fighting robo-dinos in an engrossing sci-fi story, I'm sick of this/s

Game is phenomenal, don't let the haters get to you

If this turns out to be true (I really doubt it's a clone) didn't Phil have an interview this spring saying they weren't interested in making games like Horizon? And they wanted more service based games?
Australia is ours no more.Forza Horizon Zero Dawn
"Samey" in what sense? Any examples?
Why Horizon specifically? All Sony games look the same.

I've heard this before but not seen a source.Playground's new IP is multiplatform.

Well, either you don't want to accept the fact that MS is in need of good games or you are easily satisfied with yearly updates of lukewarm racing games.
Forza Horizon Zero Dawn
Playground's new IP is multiplatform.
Where's the source for this? I clearly missed some things.Jup. But maybe something has changed. As this info fits perfect into that new IP from them. Is the studio already open btw?
late to the party, Microsoft. very very late to the party
while Horizon and Zelda blew everyone away you were too busy creating scorpio.
but better late than never.
