Still the fighter who generated the most heat in 2012 was Nick Diaz. MMA-GAF hated Nick Diaz so much, that they actually thought Carlos Conduit beat him up and put on a masterful performance.

If Sonnen beats Silva, it's going to be Diaz/Conduit x 100.

Nick Diaz isn't manufactured, he really is Compton trailer trash. So in that regard, I can at least respect the guy because he really is an asshole and he really does fight to finish as well. That doesn't mean I have to like him though. But at least I know the beefs between him and opponents is real because he's retarded and does it.

And Condit did win, that had nothing to do with hate, it was common sense.

Are you saying Carlos Conduit isn't the Muhammad Ali of MMA? It was in fact a masterwork.

Greg Jackson is the heel of the year until Chael says otherwise.

Don't remind me of the Natural Born Point Master playing safe against a guy who has already been TKO'd twice. Isn't that the same guy who Dana had crying on the phone over the title shot?

I hate Chael because his fighting style is BORING. I give him credit for being able to talk his way into being a main event fighter, it's something Fitch couldn't do.
Fitch fought GSP in a main event and Chael fought Silva in a main event. Every one of their other UFC fights has not been a main event.

I hope he loses and gets the shit beat out of him, not because he talks, because I don't want to see him lay on someone for 4 rounds with pitter patter punches and grappling transitions and then hear about how he 'beat someones ass' from his fanbase.

(and before you respond inevitable, yes I know Chael tapped, I was there)

I'm also more amazed at people who love Chael because he can talk like a 'rassler', even though they're being hypocritical getting on other guys who grapplefuck guys for 5 rounds. Chael's no different. The Bocek fight this past weekend basically sums up Chael Sonnen's fighting style. I really don't want to see that shit, no matter how much someone talks or doesn't talk.
Nope, Chael's fights with Marquardt, Silva and Stann were all exciting. He's going hard when he's on the ground, not doing the LnP.

The sad part is that he's the brains of the Diaz family.

No I'll just respond with what they looked like at round 5.

You tell me who looked worse. Anderson's clapping looking like he just took a brisk jog and Sonnen's face is beat up gasping for breath. But hey, he laid on him and caught him off balance with a few punches so OMG he kicked his ass!

Yeah I am a Fight Club member. Go to UFCFightClub.com and sign up, you pay a fee for a year worth of early ticket access. This also gets you into the Q&A prior to weigh ins which also gets you better seats to said weigh ins than the general public. For an event like 148 it will be worth it because it's quite possible it could sell out just on Fight Club sales alone and you would be paying more on StubHub anyways.

As for hotels in Vegas, the Hooters hotel and casino is right across from the MGM and is dirt cheap in relative terms, I'd suggest getting a room there.

As for seat selection at the MGM when you get your ticket, I recommend you go to the price point that is somewhere around $300 and then pick the upper level. This should put you in the front row of the upper level in dead center which is one of the best seats in the house. It's where I sat for UFC 132 and it's also where I'm sitting for 146.
Thanks for the good info, poly!

The 6/22 FX show already has tickets on sale on ufc.com so I guess the 148 will be coming up soon.

bish gets all the credit :)
The only good Sonnen fight was against Stann (his Andy fight was good due to who he was fighting/how it finished). He's a painfully boring LNPer no better than Jon Fitch.

Hulk Hogan couldn't wrassle for shit, but he's the most famous wrassler due to him being able talk.

Except wrestling is fake, and people don't buy wrestling shows to see some 5 star Ring of Honor match.

People can, and will, get tired of LnP shit if they're buying a fight.

Sonnen has two FOTN bonuses, one for the Marquardt fight at UFC 109 and another for the Silva fight. Only reason he didn't get sub of the night at 136 was because of J-Lau.

3 of his last 4 fights were worthy of (X) of the Night bonuses.

Story on Arthur, Jon, and Chandler Jones on Yahoo today, story here. 2 NFL players and 1 MMA Champ, pretty good gene pool. Chicago Bears might be drafting JBJ's younger brother tomorrow in the first round.

Doesn't Arthur still help Jones with his wrestling? He said something a few months ago on Twitter about being a world champion and still not being able to take his brother down.

@TimTebow - @BrendanSchaub life is not about when you get knocked down but about having the perseverance to get back up. Proud of you brother #Heart

Yes. Thank you. When I was watching this at that moment I just knew for a fact that Schaub would get viciously KOed in rd1 easy. Rothwell looked lean and mean.

Rothwell is a rather likeable gatekeeper.

Yeah, I enjoy when both of those overrated frauds fail too.

Hey friends/fans,

I'd like to clarify for those who are wondering why I haven't been scheduled to fight or haven't been signed by any promotion yet.
I AM done with my contract obligations with M-1 Global, I am a free agent, that means that I'm free to take offers from any promotion, but since I finished my contract as M-1 Light Heavyweight Champion, I had champions clause on my contract, that gave M-1 Global a 60 days "Right to Exclusive negotiation", which was over in March (When I became free agent). Now I'm under the "right-to-match period" which will be over in couple months.
For those who don't know, that means that whatever offer I get from any other promotion, M-1 Global will have the right to match that same offer, and if they do it, I'm 'obligated' to resign with them. So I have decided to NOT take any offer from any other promotion until the right to match period ends, so I can just walk away from M-1 Global, and take whatever offer I choose to, after that period is over without having to worry about the threats that Evgeni Kogan made to me and my manager by email, which was "to match whatever offer I get just to prove a point" (basically saying that he'd want to keep me under contract just to f**k with me, excuse my language).
So with me not taking any offer, there's no offer for him to match, therefore I just have to wait for the right-to-match period to end, so I can sign with whatever promotion that I want to sign without having to deal with bullshit.
That period ends sometime in July, so if you're wondering when I will be fighting again, I can not give you that answer, but In july I should be signed and scheduled to fight somewhere. As soon as I take an offer AFTER that period ends, I will find that out.

I'd like to see him in Strikeforce. The likes of Larkin, OSP, Feijao and Mousasi would be good scraps. I don't think he's quite ready for UFC's 205.
