Nintendo Could Eventually Give the Switch 2 Its Most-Wanted Upgrade OLED

Actually, Switch sold less units in the year the OLED released than the previous year (29m from April 2020-March 2021against 23m. from April 2021 to March 2022)

The OLED model released in October 2021.
Yeah, but they didn't wait for that FY(21/22) to hit. They released it following the peak year to retain momentum.

I realize I'm probably about the only one who feels this way but I'm glad. I prefer the OG Switch to the OLED model.
I have no experience with Switch 2, at all, and very little with original Switch (can't remember which iteration it was), but generally I seem to like IPS more than OLED. On phones or TVs OLED always feel somewhat off.

I mean in terms of willingness to buy underpowered hardware for top dollar the steam hardware side does have a lot in common with Nintendo fans >_<

Steam Machine and Deck only recently became "underpowered for top dollar" and they have so few of them, it only reflects on a very small sample of people.

Meanwhile Nintendo's hardware base makes Steam look like a speck, a huge number, and Switch 2 isn't a bad value.

Comparison doesn't fit to me

Would get it with the next mainline zelda edition 3 years from now. My sw2 screen is a bit dull but it gets the job done. 10w system being able to play Cyberpunk, Ac Shadows and EA FC in addition to Ninty titles. Aces just for that.
