Watch them surprise everyone with an FF7 remake announcement.
It'll be for mobile.
They would want the fast money once they have to resort to that option.

Advent Children Complete HD? It's already in Full HD, man
This has shades of a Sonic Cycle

I wasn't terribly impressed by last year's footage, so I doubt it. I don't know how anybody can still stay super-hyped for a game that's been in development hell for nearly a decade now.
I still care, its just I was a hardcore Square fan from NES/SNES days. This new SE is a different beast then the Square I used to love. I actually liked FFXIII but the fact we only got one FF main title, and a not so great one at that and not much else out of SE this gen (yes I liked Bravely Default) put into perspective with their past output i've gone lukewarm on what they are offering up. I can't stay hyped up for 8 years for a game with only a couple trailers to show. That's totally absurd.
LOL xDWell I am. Let me enlighten you friend.
Square Enix just shot themselves in the foot.I dont know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (Im an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. Its not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole.
I mean, the dev team riding the fun slide at Tokyo Disneyland during work hours went smoothly. So technically he wasn't wrong. Is there any truth to Hashimoto saying development is going smoothly?
E3 is not the "optimal" moment to reveal new info? The fuck did I just read?
I have come up with three theories.
1.Square Enix has has lied about XV going into full production and has secretly had the XV team working on other projects like A Realm Reborn and Lightning Returns. (This is what i suspect has happened.)
2.Final Fantasy XV is having severe technical issues that they are having trouble correcting (which isn't a crazy prediction seeing as how badly messed up with their PS3 engine) or the project is to ambitious for the tools/hardware they are working with.
3.The XV team is just slow and/or doesn't have enough people on the team (In which case KH3 should have never started production).
Is there any truth to Hashimoto saying development is going smoothly?
I've heard various things over the years from different people about how bad the development situation on Versus and S-E Japan in general are. Poor management, resources being wasted, gameplay not coming together, staff getting frustrated with how things are going. Doesn't paint a particularly nice picture. The concept for the the game has been really appealing to me from the moment it was announced, but it's been really disheartening to see clear signs that the company is really struggling to turn it into the big blockbuster success they need this to be.
Browsing through the thread, saw this. I mean, dammit, can't you just go back to mocking us for our hope? This cut so much worse. ;; The pain...
This was really the biggest reason I was excited for E3, and having it taken away once more just reveals the bleak truths stated above. I can't even continue to hope against the odds that this game will come out great despite all the struggles. I'm truly heartbroken.
A no show is actually all the information on this game and company I need.
Tell me about it. It says so much about this company. How they hell do they have LESS to show than last year.
Please don't do this to yourself.
Forget about this game. Accept our lord and savior, Persona 5 into your heart.
As smoothly as this.

So, at least in the past, there has been a sort of "agreement" between E3 and TGS that they'll split the Japanese announcements between the two shows so TGS isn't completely irrelevant.
So the "later in the year" comment could be indicative that they're saving it for TGS?
I have to think this is the end of AAA development at Square. I can't imagine these projects are profitable anymore. Whether XV and KH3 ever release, I will be surprised if they announce another major title again. They have done nothing to indicate they can improve their rate of content development and that just doesn't fit with the new reality of game making. Sad really.

First I've heard of this but I suppose that would make sense.
But hasn't FFXV mostly been shown at E3 first in the past?
I don't think it would make much sense to break from this now.
But then again, SE has been so dysfunctional the past decade, they make Capcom look good.
So you want to start a Twitter campaign to tell SE to do what they are already doing.... The smart thing to do would be to make them aware of the importance of giving people frequent updates on XV and organizing development to be more efficient to speed it up otherwise they'll just ignore the campaign and rightly so. They already mentioned that they are focusing on FFXV or at least that development is going well so if someone is to start a campaign, be intelligent about it, please.Definitely : )
#Enough with fucking lightning and focus FFXV now

#FF15@E3 is probably a better tag.
With this short an amount of time before E3, that would probably be best. If someone could throw together a well thought out write up as to why we deserve to see it at E3 and link it with the hash tag for everyone to tweet that would be about as much as anyone could do.#FF15@E3 is probably a better tag.
A new trailer would have at least assured us that everything was ok. Now we know something is wrong.Even if they had given us a trailer, there wouldn't be a release date on it which would result in the exact same complaints we have now. In least the false hope is crushed and people are saved from disappointment.
I bet The Last Remnant didn't go through development hell. SE should make another one of those in the meanwhile.

Unfortunately though, it's so damn close to E3 I'm not sure there's really any hope that they'd see the campaign and throw something together in time. I don't think they'd bother. Had they outright said it a month ago however, then there may have been a chance or if someone started a campaign when Kagari warned us then possibly, but at this point we might as well accept its absence.

Well it doesn't hurt to try. I'd support it.You may be right, but it could be worth a shot.
FFXV is this gen's The Last Guardian.
