How terribly that went for them should be a lesson here as well.
Sure it's better not to rush things but the n64's delay was absolutely devastating for the system. Didn't even coming out in Europe till 1997. Awful for a system that should have come out in 1995.
While I don't think it would have been game totally game changing, I can imagine that generation going much better for Nintendo had they had Mario 64 and Pilotwings ready in fall of 95.

FYI, the original article was edited after I made the thread to change "Fall" to "end of year."

That's when the hardware threads will start. Nintendo is not going to outright tell us the specs, we are going to have to analyze die shots to get to the bottom of it.

They're unlisted; people aren't supposed to find them yet. People only discovered them since they were part of a Playlist, and Nintendo's channel manager didn't realize they were visible that way

Frankly we won't know anything until the day comes when "NX Direct/Conference - xx.xx.16 Announced" appears on the GAF frontpage. I wouldn't place any bets on when that day will come myself.

I mean, the only thing that can happen to disprove the OP is the NX launch being delayed beyond March... Which is unlikely, given Nintendo's history of rarely delaying the official launch date of any hardware.

GCN was delayed in Japan from July to September as well.
Also there was also the Gameboy Atlantis which was also confirmed by Nintendo but then Nintendo never talked about it ever again until Nintendo announced the Advance years later.

I don't think Nintendo would have announced the launch month for NX if it were going to be delayed.
I don't recall any delays on hardware from Nintendo in this scenario. They usually are careful to announce year then month, which is what they have done here.
NX will launch in March.
With that we should have some Nintendo Direct announcement soon. I originally had it pegged in SEP but I guess a very early OCT would still make sense. Anything after that is just odd as it would impact holiday marketing.

But they aren't even dragging their feet. All they said was they'll reveal it in the "fall." Today is the first day of fall, and there are three full months of it. I still expect an early to mid-October reveal.
