She didn't even ask anyone or anything.
It was weird.

Saoh said:in all honesty, yeah, for someone with altered senses you look fine imo. i have friends who act worse in public, even sober. and it has nothing to do with the propaganda, i've just never found the sense in all that. why do it? is the moment your living so boring that you have to use? i dont know, i have better things to do, really :S and obviously i couldnt hang out with a person like that either, it would make me feel really uncomfortable.
also, i have nothing against the Sonic costume, i actually like itimpressive the effort you put into it, and you look nice in it too
but yeah, sorry that i shattered your e-world :x as i said, to each its own.
infinityjinx said:why i do it?
i do it for the experience. i do a lot of things for the experience. i travel, i skydive, i make the first move, i go out, i create, i ride rollercoasters, i open myself up to criticism... all for the experience. more experiences = more perspective, more understanding of things (people, the world, life, etc!), more stories to share and memories to look back on fondly. as they say, you rarely regret things u do; u more often regret things you dont do.
ive found that (while some people cant) i can use drugs responsibly (as in, ive never been sick off of them or in any serious danger) and i do use them, not because 'oh my life is so boring i'll get high' but because they (well, acid especially..my favorite) can enhance the experiences i seek to enjoy. a week at burning man sober will change your life and give you more to think about and more stories to tell than a year of regular life. a night at burning man tripping on acid is that much more special. its not a matter of 'having something better to do' its a matter of occasionally enhancing the already great thing you're experiencing, to make it that much better.
^^this is all a 'why i do it' and definitely not a 'why you should do it.' i more than understand why people are uncomfortable with drugs, seeing as i definitely used to be that way too.

infinityjinx said:oh man, LA/west coast is definitely the place to be for parties. we in NY envy you guys.
insomniac events hosts big parties in hollywood/socal that both pendulum and infected mushroom have played at in the past year...however, i dont think theres anything with them coming up.

upon looking at their web site, it looks like u just missed IM last week in hollywood, and dj dara (if u like pendulum...) last week as well! =(
u should sign up for their email list though, it looks like they throw the kinds of parties you'd be interested in.

t-storm said:That event looks like the kindergarten equivalent in terms of electronic music.
This was confirmed by listening to that track you provided.
Hardcore?
*cackles*
djtiesto said:Yeah I don't get The Cure being there either... can't imagine all the goths coming out in the hot Miami heat to see them :lol I guess every year they have one or two "mainstream" groups with slight ties to electronic music just to expand things a bit. I'm mostly interested in seeing some of the middle-tier DJs and artists who I might not normally get to see. Last year I was pretty excited to get the chance to see Grayarea, Infusion, Sub-Focus, Infected Mushroom, Carl Cox, Misstress Barbara, DJ Rap (who had like maybe one or two people watch her play), and Donald Glaude. And of course the usual faves like Danny Howells and Sander K.
Last year it got a bit too crowded towards the end of the night, especially during Prodigy and PVD's sets. During the daytime it was fine, and some of the tents were actually pretty deserted. I'm hoping by them splitting the festival up into 2 days, it won't be nearly as crowded, and I hope they get the VIP situation straightened out this year so that VIPs will actually have better viewing spots for some of the bigger DJs.
Not really into happy hardcore, although some freeform is OK... that guy Fight For Freeform is a big fan of the stuff. Sadly, there aren't too many people into electronic music in general on this board, and those who are are usually bickering with each other about music tastes.
boutrosinit - It's March 23 to 25 in Miami.
