You knows it! :D

I mean, is it really that hard to use a bin? Apparently so.

Hey, Glasgow is equally chewy encrusted! WE ROX!

Glaswegians remind me a lot of scousers actually. Though they might be a bit more scarey when drunk.

Had the best time meeting loads of Scots folk at last years T in the Park.

Aaaah, I'm going to T in the Park this year, my first time! Doing the whole camping thing as well, really looking forward to it :D

I go to a festival every year, pretty much.

Last year was T in the Park, before that I've been to three Leeds festivals and I went to V99.

Out of all of those experiences I have to say V99 was the best. Virgin were really trying to make inroads, so the tickets were only £60 for 2 days incl. camping, and travel was completely free on the Virgin train network. They had buses on from the train station as well. Again, no cost. It's also the flattest of the festivals.

The site they usually had the Leeds festival at is different now I think. I think it was Temple Newsham Park... the place had hills that meant you had to sleep perpendicular to what would normally be flat ground. The reason the venue moved was because too many people were blowing up the toilets, which to be honest became part of the pull after the first year. The campsite antics were some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. Alas, thats probably a thing of the past now... they have non-combustable toilets now, which just happen to be more scummy, which I once thought wasn't possible.

T in the Park was fantastic though. There's a good fair / food stalls area on the camping site rather than in the arena section, the ground is fairly flat depending on where you are and the layout of the stages and stuff is great. My only complaints would be that the toilets were beyond horrific, but this is the same @ every festival I go to, and that they scheduled so many great acts at the same time last year. For example: I had to split my time between Franz Ferdinand and the Killers, and miss perfectly good bands that in my view, simply weren't as important as the Pixies, but that I wanted to see anyway.

Most of my mates are a bit more metal-headish than me so they went to Download last year. Some of them are saying they might come with me to one of the other festivals this year though. So I can't wait to see this years line up at T and other places. I'd definately go again.

I took my girlfriend to Liverpool 2 years ago.

She was spat on , twice, for being asian - very hard to take given the massive asian population in Liverpool, even worse that it was by older gents rather than your usual idiot scallies.

Anyways, we stopped in the Adelphi (what a dump!) but outside on the corner going down towards the town centre where the metal railing is , there was a massive collection of rubbish... my girlfriend asked "so... is today garbage collection day?"

ermm... no.

She refused to believe me until we'd walked to the end of the street and there was just litter everywhere.

Still... Sayers pasties still rocked. But what happened to the Matthew St area? that was student ghetto land when i was there (Krazy House, 147 (now shortened to 14? Doesn't that somewhat crop the reference to it being a snooker club???) etc) now you have to be earning 100k+ or be a footballer to even walk down those streets.

... holy shit... i moved to Liverpool... 12 years ago... now i feel old

When I first read the word, "Himalayan" I thought that it was going to be a cat in the picture with you. :lol That bunny is so cyoote though; may I ask whether it is a he or a she?

Anyways, eewww at dark circles under my eyes. T_T

Man, Waychel, while I realize that life in the fast lane is fun, I suggest you get out of it before you get hit by too many cocaine cars--avoid rush hour at the very least. And follow the golden rule of drug dealing: don't get high off your own supply. Listen to it. Learn it. Live it. If you're gonna travel the fast lane, you might as well come equipped with knowledge, a few sage sayings, and a couple of Asian man whores.

To NLB, I say:

If Hitler had Irish blood, a long flowing mullet, and a headband, he might look like me.

Dyou still live here? I say 'here', but I actually live a few miles out, in Aintree. 15 minutes on the train.

And man, that is really shit. I was on the train late last year and this bunch of kids on the train spat on me as they were getting off and threw a bag of half eaten dohnuts at me :lol I remember wanting to get off the thing and dispense sweet justice, but I was just too fucking disgusted to move. I can't imagine if it'd been older fellas. And if they had such a reason as pathetic as that. There really are some fucks on our streets, but you do get it everywhere else too. There's idiots in every city.

I don't go out clubbing really... but at the end of a night I stay well away from the adelphi area. The 051 / 14 seem to let out and everyone congregates there to get taxis home. The biggest concentration of wankers you will ever find. I walk up to the Albert Dock, or somewhere else usually, and phone a private cab home.

Matthew Street is alright.. the whole city has been a building site recently, so bits are closed off or blocked by workmen and their gear, but things are looking up around that area. It's probably where you'll find the youngest & oldest people in one place. Ya get loads of young scals round there, but you get the older folk dancin' to the Beatles & Abba n' shit. What I mean though, is that I've never really had trouble there yet. Everyones having a good time, and the doormen seem quite on top of things.

The areas where I steer clear of thanks to unfortunate experiences are Queens Square (by the bus station, Rat & Parrot, Yates' Wine Bar), especially at the end of the night... Lime Street, and up by the Adelphi.

The only places I actually tend to go out to now are The Krazy House, La Bateau, The Barfly and studo places like that. I don't do it often but sometimes I end up in and around concert square, the Bold Street, Wood Street areas.

Now...I'm probably gonna regret posting this picture as my pics always end up on OA somehow. Oh well...atleast I hope they don't find too much to pick at with this picture.

I'm sympathetic to your handicap and everything, but come on

Now that this thread is bumped I want to make it clear: it has nothing to do with my eyes or homophobic opinions from my end, it was simply an honest mistake. I meant "more than other men", and I typed "normal", because in the place I grew in, I never knew or met any gay people. So in my mind, it was a quick association, but that does not means just because I never had gay (to my knowledge) friends that this statement was reprehensible.

Your mistake was assuming that I had mistaken normal for the french meaning of "straight" (as for heterosexual men). But there is no such equivalent in french. So what I typed in the first place was really what you quoted, but what I edited back was what I originally meant. I hope with what I explained it's clearer that my comments were not meant to be insulting to anyone. This might be going a little overboard for such a single mistyped word, but it kept bugging my mind, and I'd like to apologize in advance to everyone in Gayming-Age I might or might not have offended.

And damn, I'm much hotter now, I need to take a good pic. :)

Jotaro: I'm not buying that for one second. I was going to just let you off and forget about the whole thing, but apparently you just couldn't drop it.

Have fun with your free time.

"Dyou still live here? I say 'here', but I actually live a few miles out, in Aintree. 15 minutes on the train."

Naaa - i left Liverpool in 97... I live in Tokyo - where walking the streets is still safe! ;)

"And man, that is really shit. indeed - it was weird though. when i went to uni it wasn't that much of a problem because most of the students were local guys, so there was very little problems. But the final year was horrible - the students were actually worse than the locals. A lot were snobby f*cking arsewipes. The student union went from scummy looking but well mannered people to people dressed in the latest YSL shirt and pants, with more cash than a student should have.

ha ha - the 051 used to be the best club in Liverpool. None of the Cream wankers would go there and it was just all the dole-ites and students together. No cash, just music, no image... it was fantastic. Then it became cool to be there, and the prices went up, people got pushed out and it became a posers paradice where it was more about what you were wearing , how big a name was playing and had little to do with the music :(.

Cool - that's pretty good to hear.

cool - sounds like the same places i'd go to!

It's weird - i loved liverpool for 3 years, then the last year was just so crappy. and my last visit was terrible.

I'm back in the UK in two weeks, i might pop in and give it another shot... not sure. :)
