i guess you shot was just overexposed then, which is odd because even shooting in AUTO mode, the camera can usually determine the best settings. Are you focusing on your subject by depressing the shutter button halfway before taking the shot?

Sorry to sound like a camera evangelist, but i've helped two other people get Canon's (i own an old S40 myself), and it hurts to see something come from a Canon that looks like it came from a webcam and butchered in Photoshop.

Edit: The new photo (after the edit) is much better. Ignore the previous comments.

I don't think it's about insecurity. There's a lot of reasons why someone, male or female, attractive or unattractive wouldn't want to post their picture.

I can see some people being made uncomfortable by the comments or compliments coming from the average gaffer. It can also compromise how people see you and talk to you on the forum.

From what I've seen there's a whole different dynamic to how people converse with NetMaple as opposed to how the converse with the likes of Waychel, Alyssa, myself, or anyone who puts their picture as their avatar.

Anyone who says it doesn't affect them is a liar. When it has to do with looks, there's always a nerve that every once in a while, gets hit.

I don't think that's why NetMapel wouldn't post her pictures. I'm not going to speak for her, I'm willing to bet she's beautiful. I think that there are plenty of reasons one wouldn't want to post their picture that I don't see why one would have to automatically jump to that conclusion.

...Not on a messageboard full of sexually wound-up dudes/bitter male virgins/fill in the internet stereotype. Though you'd think that the gay to straight ratio on here would mean a lot less of that, and in fairness, it's not as bad as some places on teh 'net.

One thing I have noticed, is that EVERY girl I know into games is a looker. No question. I've rarely met an ugly girl gamer. Every girl who's ever posted her picture on this site has been attractive IMO.
