Someone in the previous thread today mentioned DF/Eurogamer. Wonder where he got that from. Anyone know?
Absolutely not.$599 let's do this.
It's gonna be $499 or $449
It actually wouldn't be a terrible idea to go through a third party like DF for this. Know your audience.
I'm quite partial to a decent CGI trailer/

Especially since DF's write ups on the PS4 Pro were a million times more exciting and did a better job selling the hardware than Sony's own conference. It actually wouldn't be a terrible idea to go through a third party like DF for this. Know your audience.
They said this.. Not sure where a maybe is needed.Interesting to show it off in early april, i guess they want to get the hardware stuff out of the way so they can focus on games at E3.
I like this strategy, spread the news out a little more so we got something to talk about during non-E3 time.
Absolutely not.
I would say $499 includes the Elite controller and $399 base with a redesigned controller (minor thing(s) i.e grip))
I hate CGI Trailers, they dont show anything from a game
Figured they would have saved it for E3?
If all they got is a Digital Foundry article and some screenshots of Forza Motorsport 7 or something then that is a shitty unveiling.
Interested to see if they position this as 'just' a souped up X1 (a la PS4 Pro, more or less) or more like a new gen/new Phone generation with a promise software works on the OG X1, too.
It is my understanding that Eurogamer's article is going to focus on Scorpio specs and the console's overall approach, not games.
That said, with basic specs more or less already known, I am really curious which additional information they gathered (especially with regard to the CPU). What I don't expect is any word on price and new games.
True, it would be good instead of something like their reveal trailer of uncompressed pixels etc.
I definitely think Microsoft will focus heavily on 'the best place to play' angle with Scorpio so Digital Foundry makes sense to start that ball rolling.

It's not a mystery what the features or library of this console are, people just want to know what it can do.
Why? Microsoft has made a bit of a way of saying they want to show games.Figured they would have saved it for E3?
So whats the best route for MS to take? Show off console with specs now, then games games games at E3, right? Or the other way around?
For what it's worth I think Sneakers and Matt have hinted that MS don't really have any big surprise first party titles to announce (correct me if I'm wrong). I really hope that's not true.
Show off some impressive looking third party game, like this year's Asssasin's Creed. So whats the best route for MS to take? Show off console with specs now, then games games games at E3, right? Or the other way around?

they did an in depth tech spec reveal / review with eurogamer last year shortly after the Xbox One S reveal.
So it would make sense. It would just be weird to do it before the actual reveal.

Man whether next week is true or not I can't wait. I just hope they keep HDMI in
