OG PS4 and Xbox One must be holding it back even more then~
A Way Out is due to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2018, so developers are still tweaking its systems. But, there's only so much they can do.
"You want the honest truth? This machine is not so strong as you think," Fares says, pointing to the PS4 running his game. "This is like a five-year-old PC. If consoles were as powerful as PCs are today, you would see all different games. Most of the work developers put out there is to make them work on consoles."
A Way Out is a new game from EA and this game is made by the same developer that was responsible for the brothers which is kind of like co-op kind of game, an indie game that is pretty much ever available on PS4, Xbox and PC as well. Now obviously the new game A Way Out is pretty interesting as well. Its going to be a co-op based as well. Its obviously still an indie game so, its not like a huge AAA title and but this game looks really interesting. And obviously that got some media attention until the developers are kind of in the spotlight right now.
Do you want the honest truth? This machine is not so strong as you think. This is like a five-year-old PC. If consoles were as powerful as PCs are today, you would see all different games. Most of the work developers put out there is to make them work on consoles.

Did a 12 year old write this?
Then Xbox One X must a be like a 4 year old PC holding developers back.

Pretty much this. It's like this one dev only wants to work on PC's.Base PS4?
OG Xbone?
I'm confused. Is this game not meant to run on these systems? Article is weird.
It's still rare for smaller, independent studios to use motion-capture technology, though it isn't unheard of. For example, the powerful adventure game 1979 Revolution: Black Friday recently employed mo-cap to resounding critical and consumer success. A Way Out's animations are reminiscent of 1979, in fact. This doesn't mean the game's graphics are perfectly polished and the animations always smooth (1979 doesn't quite reach this goal, either) -- A Way Out is due to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2018, so developers are still tweaking its systems. But, there's only so much they can do.

The original Engadget article is talking about an OG PS4, not a Pro. No idea where techstunt inferred that from.

Also, weird comment considering their game is also meant to come out on an even weaker OG Xbox 1 as well.

The CPU?
What the fuck is this author writing.
Well the PS4 is approaching 4 years old so he isn't that far off

Well, I can see why one would say that. Strictly speaking, PS4 Pro GPU is equivalent, in term of raw power, of an HD 7970 from 2012. While XBox One X GPU is closer to a 2013 R9 290x, overclocked.
Oh, are we at that point of the generation already? Can't wait for Kinthalis and Alexandros to come back on alt accounts.
Here's the actual text from the source:

PS4 Pro is never mentioned.
I guess that's one way to find out this techstunt website is kinda garbage.
That's a roundabout way of saying "We wish could put less work into optimization"Do you want the honest truth? This machine is not so strong as you think. This is like a five-year-old PC.
