Random Thought here...
I was digging through old issues of Electronic Gaming Monthly on Archive.org, and came across this old Software ETC ad from a June 1992 issue... which would have been published in may 1992, given how 'next months' issue would get published like half way through the previous month.
The advertisement highlights a giveaway for a Sega/ Sonic the Hedgehog branded letterman jacket. Which was a raffle prize of one per store. It struct me that I saw this jacket somewhere before....
This is a photo of Michael Jackson visiting Sega of Japan during his 1992 Dangerous World Tour. I believe that Michael had a chance to play Sonic 2 early in Japan. I realize that Michael got his hands on one of the Software ETC raffle prize jackets. Michael Jackson was a big gamer, he had a massive arcade and game collection. Was he also an avid reader of EGM?
