Lust can be sexual but not restricted to. There can be the intense desire for anything. Sex, food, video games, comfort, etc. My journey started as quitting pornography but as time has gone on I see it runs deeper than that. There is a rooted unhealthy method of thinking developed from a young age. I'm sharing to help myself. If another is helped, then that is great too.
I read the entry for June 22 in the book "The Real Connection ". A sentence resonates. "Besides lustful images and fantasy, the noise in my head early recovery used to include songs, advertising jingles, jokes and imagined arguments with others."
Among what's listed in that sentence and more is in my thoughts. Letting go is a process. May all the noise within ourselves be quieted.
