Neat. I've already got the game preordered, but I'll check this out.

Yup same but gotta say so far the showings they have done have not been so great.. what happen to the games color? expect color and vibrancy in splatoon games.. hoped it had full voice acting but sadly doesnt look like it. The game will be awesome regardless, just did a review of Splatoon 3 on our channel but ye the trailers have not been great. Feel they did the same with Metroid Prime 4, most of the showings were not great. They need someone over there who knows how to edit a hype trailer. Regardless hyped to get it, but the color palette has not looked as good as expected, its on islands.. with hdr and 4k 60fps it should be popping off the screen. Lets see. I do hope there is an actual proper story vs just more collecting. This game is supposed to be the proper story mode the series deserves.

I'm hoping this sells me more on the game, I like the idea of a single player Splatoon but the trailers and gameplay from it so far have been a little dull. What looks to be a single-player expanded Salmon Run, basically, which isn't terribly exciting.

Your comment did make me chuckle a bit, this would be one of the few series where I'm not really sure voice acting would add anything. Listening to squid-language nonsense while still needing to read all dialog would seem like a silly additional expense for not much gain.

I and several others have pointed out many times already, this is absolutely a Switch1 DLC expansion for Splatoon 3 that they decided to turn into a standalone title. I'm buying it don't get me wrong, as Splatoon is still fantastic at its core and always manages to be a good time. It's just disappointing to see a Switch 2 exclusive still looking mostly like the original 11 year old Wii U game.

A lot of Nintendo games in general seem to all follow that same theme: Disappointing but still really fun.

I'd be interested in this one for the co-op focus, and budget price, but A. it's releasing at a terribly busy time for me and B. my main co-op partner doesn't want a Switch 2 until they release a Lite. -_-

Seems like a someday purchase at this point, but I'll definitely check out the Direct.

Microsoft and 343i killed Halo. They are the one solely responsible for it.
