It's at heart a kids game. Have to remember they needed to let us know that Donkey Kong can PUNCH. Has to be understood by a child of 5.

I'm not against buying two copies. I just wasn't sure I want to be there at launch, like my kid does. Sharing would be the only way I'd see myself playing. My backlog is gross. I just purchased Unicorn Overlord for $18

Yeah. That is the reason why they always use that narration. To appeal to children. It is just that, when you get older, it starts to get grating.

I hope a can talk my co-op buddy into getting this.

I was a little put off initially because of the "It's single player Splatoon" because every Splatoon as had an enjoyable single player campaign, but the direct sold me.

I think the initial Nintendo Today reveal didn't leave the best first impression. It came off as a smaller spinoff. This seems more like a different mainline fork in a way.

Irregardless, I'm down with what this game is and I can't wait to play it.

The franchise needed something like this over Splatoon 4. This is a great way to avoid fatigue.

You can totally see that Splatoon is done by the Animal Crossing guy. It is the way the characters have attitude.

I think this game is an interesting case study.

Seems to have a ton of gameplay depth, lots and lots of content, doesn't cost too much but the graphics are kind of shit, basically slightly better Switch 1 tier which means between gen 7 and gen 8. I think the industry would be much healthier if games like that were more common but somehow I doubt that's what gaymers at large want.

You can play the original Splatoon on Pretendo. I rigged it up on my WiiU. You have to wait in the lobby a little bit, but plenty of people are still playing.

Pretendo is pretty neat. It brings your old WiiU back to life.

Just watched it. It looks pretty fun? So is this an sp looter shooter or what? Also i saw there is a 4 man online coop aswell. Price is not too high so i might bite
