Very few of the people I know buy games digitally in the first place, when the prices can be better at online retailers. Most games (even big releases) are 60-65 euros for standard editions. That 70-75 price may be true for PSN, but not for online retailers like Verkkokauppa or VPD.

You had me at point n click adventure game with great pixel art.So I was browsing Greenlight and found this. It hasn't made it through Kickstarter yet (only has $90 and it's only 1% funded with 34 days left), and it's on Greenlight, but it sounds like it might have potential. The concept sounds so good.
It's supposed to release next summer if it's funded. Those The Thing influences are making me want to back it already.

Concept is neat, but the spritework is a bit rough and it looks very early. I think he's a bit too soon with the Kickstarter campaign.
@Haunted: You think this is great pixel art?
I've had good experiences with them, especially with pre-orders as they ship out early so I've gotten two pre-orders before the day of release. Their prices for limited editions aren't always the best, but otherwise their pricing is good in my opinion. Their customer support is also good. When ordering games that are not in stock, be prepared for having your order cancelled though, as they don't usually remove listings of games until someone orders and they can't get new stock.
I haven't bought anything from Amazon UK for a long time, web was this shipping change done and how much does the shipping cost now?

The Steam Greenlight page is pretty vague on the matter:
There's no definition as to what constitutes "offensive material."
That's for a reason. If they make it too strict they just leave room for loopholes. This way they always reserve the right to define "offensive material".
Bit of a pain yes but there is the lure of Platfire Rewards with Redux. Just wrapped up 2033 and I've already got £1.50ish extra in credit without really trying. There's £5 in total available across both games but looks like Last Lights require a bit more time or planning to do.
Sure, retail is almost always cheaper in Europe. The thing is, in US PSN those same games are around 45 euros so still substantially less. Obviously you lose the ability to trade/sell your game though.
That's been there since Greenlight went live, plus Greenlight pages aren't age-gated or anything of the sort. Valve now has the AO ESRB rating on its servers and one of the options available when reporting a game on the store to Valve is "Contains adult content that isn't appropriately labeled and age-gated". As I said before, judging from the comparison image posted earlier, the censorship in the Steam version of the game does little to actually cover anything up, so I don't think there would have been an issue submitting the original release, although it definitely would have attracted a lot of attention from media outlets.
How does Playfire actually work?
Is it tied to your Steam achievements?
I'm guessing it doesn't work with family sharing.

Having had a play around with Last Light Redux the other day and there isn't really too much different I've noticed in the first couple of levels. There are a few effects toned down in the Redux version actually but I think the main changes are some gameplay tweaks. Unlike 2033 which has got quite a substantial overhaul (and finally made my finish it after server failed attempts).
PlayFire occasionally publishes a list of achievements along with their credit values and you're given a set amount of time to obtain them; if you unlock them within this period, you'll be given the credit.

But, I assume, nothing that's been classified as such. Looking into the matter, it would appear one game rated AO was pulled from Greenlight due to sexual content (that game being Seduce Me.) So I suppose Huniepop is covering its ass...in more ways than one.
It doesn't work with family sharing. (Steam API doesn't expose family shared games as owned.)

Playfire is good in concept but I quickly realized it wasn't worth the hassle for me even when it was giving more credit. Bummer. My account is still activated but I can't be assed to play things by their schedule.
On another note, thanks to idlemaster I got all my card drops the other day and my playtimes are all out of whack. I'm conditioned to see any < 2h game time as idle time now, haha.

Honestly I'd probably go all digital on Playstation if my internet was faster and I had a bigger hard drive. Then I'd have to deal with the account swapping bullshit on the Vita though which sucks.
Has anyone here played Vector Thrust? I've bought it, but haven't had a chance to play it yet. I was wondering how much like Ace Combat the gameplay is since the influence is clear from the plane design.

Well, Seduce Me was yanked from Greenlight shortly after it went live, which was well before the AO rating logo and app report form surfaced, plus, as I said, Greenlight pages aren't protected in any way, so if there were objectionable in-game images used on the page then it's doubly no surprise it was pulled. I'm just making an observation, really; I can understand wanting to err on the side of caution. The "Steamy" version could always be released later as free DLC if Valve would indeed be fine with it.
Ah, I'm aware of that, but I didn't think PlayFire's crawler would check for licences due to Valve being conservative with API calls lately.

Personally I use Idle Master only on games I intend to never play, so the busted playtime of 1-2 hours on a bunch of junk games doesn't really bother me. I've made about $40 so far with tons more to go.

I'm liking the tables from the Pinball FX2 - Marvel Pinball Avengers Chronicles pack, I think the Avengers table is the hardest but it's interesting how each ball represent different heroes and depending on which one you choose the objectives change. So far my favorite table is World War Hulk, it's easy to control the ball and objectives aren't hard to hit.
You blacklist the games you want to play by throwing the app ids into the blacklist.txt file (one per line).
That part hurt my soul.

Playfire isn't as good as it used to be but it still does add up. Just like Steam cards which only sell for 10 cents a piece but over time you accumulate respectable amounts of money.

Most games are cheaper on US PSN, often better sale prices and the 15$->15 thing. We usually get better PS+ games though.

I've noticed the content tags are pretty good at this point and most popular games have all the tagging they need, so I think it'd work pretty well.
