I do it to check out of RL and so immersion is probably the most important thing a game needs to have for me. If I can't tune-out life and tune-in into a game then the game sucks.

I used to watch my parents play games like sonic 2 and zelda on our snes and genesis when i was little.

The only difference between then and now are that the graphics got better. But if the game isnt fun, I have no interest in it.
