With GMG and it's 20% off code, I decided to get the 2 games they have there, since they seem to be the best in series, and the 20% off makes the price equal that of the PSVita release.
For now, I think I'll wait to see if Shun returns with a relisting later on. I was SO CLOSE to buying the full collection when it was originally on sale, but I'm happy with the 2 purchases. Finally get to play the games! (Though I'm sorry to hear what's happened with Agatsuma, and I really hope Code of Princess releases on Steam.)
So, from what I understand...
The Vita version is the original SNES version and a remake of the SNES game.
The DS version is the original SNES game and a PS1 game together.
Which of these two options is ideal?
If you're referring to the western releases, I don't think this is right.
The 3DS game is the first release of the 3rd game of the series. It runs bad in 3D mode, better in normal mode, but rarely 60fps, I believe.
The Vita Version is that same 3rd release, and includes the SNES game as well, for the first time in the west. It runs 60 fps (all the time?), and was the preferred release before PC.
Neither of these include Shun, which was a PS1 sequel that was made by a different dev originally. Shun, however, has had a load of revisions and re-releases, to improve it's quality, as it released buggy, and with some odd unliked ads and cinematics.
The version that reached Steam fof game 2 is the best version of it, with the best framerate, physics, replacement of the ads with static pictures of our heroine, and all the extras that were produced between versions. In the west, it's exclusive to PC.
If I've got this wrong somewhere, please correct, Umihara fans!
