Gaf.

Haven't used anything else in over a decade. And which fucking wetbag voted Bluesky?!

Youtube is literally the only one i use and i even hate what it's mostly become.

Basically, the old-fashioned, sleazy, door-to-door salesmen tryna pawn off cheap shit to strangers.

Fuck them all

Social media is cancer

Can't believe reddit isn't on there. It's the worst one because of rampant botting and downvotes completely hiding dissenting opinions, making controlling a narrative easier than any other platform.

Are people still using Facebook in 2026? Anyway, I don't use TikTok, MySpace or Bluesky, so I can't really comment on those. I do have Instagram, but I barely use it. I use X more to follow accounts that post news about things I'm interested in, and digital artists. YT has a lot of good stuff, I follow a bunch of channels that post things I find useful, like travel, music, etc...

Honestly I don't really have a problem with any social media, but I mainly use them to keep up with content I find useful, not for discussions, so that probably helps me tolerate them.

Other than YouTube, the only one I have ever used is Facebook, and not for years at this point. That said, I still have it on my phone and accidentally launched it - had a quick scroll and it was all AI slop and women promoting onlyfans accounts. Absolute steaming pile of shit.

I only ever use Youtube (does it count as social?) and Facebook because of the messenger app.

I don't know which one is the worst but the only one i can stand is 9gag.

i think it'd have to go to twitter. i used to use it all the time but after elon it somehow got even worse and i shut my account.

tiktok next then facebook. haven't used blue sky so can't speak on that. i think instagram is ok but i don't use it.

the only one i use is YouTube. Myspace was the best. RIP

Reddit and Twitter are probably the worst because of the content posted there, how popular they are and how badly they're being moderated (often on purpose). This makes them great places to spread lies and build certain narratives.

This forum is like a load of middle aged women getting together to complain about things. I don't know why we can't just talk about things we like rather than focussing on what we don't like.

I realise there's some irony in this post.

why don't you make a post asking people what their favorite one is then?

Stopped using it completely like 10 years ago. Once every 1 or 2 years I'll sign into FB or Twitter and immediately remember why.

I suggest everyone to do the same. Unless you live in antarctica there is zero reason to use it. As for the question; it's like literally picking between the handful of most dangerous poisons known to mankind. No winner here.

I got nothing.

GAF is my home 🤠

I did of course try out Twitter and Instagram but quickly quit because it brought me nothing.

Those platforms serve narcissists and pull you into a negative never ending spiral.

I am only on Facebook and I hate it. I get some local news on it and everybody seems to have switched from Craigs List to Marketplace, so if I want to buy or sell shit local, I am stuck with it.

I do not consider YouTube to be social media. It is hot algorithm garbage with shit ads though.

Social media is antisocial and a virus to our society. It makes it easier to influence everybody. It has made society worse. It should be outlawed and nuked from orbit and people like Zuck should be in jail or at least sent back to the planet they came from.

TikTok had the worst impact of all of them. By perfecting the infinite scroll brain-rot pattern of short content, it left everyone else scrambling after the same, even YouTube shorts and so on.

TikTok is one of the most significant moments where the internet's potential and promise was inverted. An absolute travesty that it was successful and went on to ruin so much more.

I keep all watch history and personalization turned off on YouTube, and don't subscribe to anyone. So I always have this weird experience on it with just random junk on the home page, but at least they're not trying to target me or lock me into an algorithm. I refuse to look at anything pushed to me lol, I will only watch videos that I chose to search for intentionally.

I voted Bluesky. Maybe I'm being unfair but it's the only one from the list where I judge and make assumptions about people if they use it.
All the other ones are (or were) standard mainstream platforms that I assume most people have used at some point, so if you tell me you have a Facebook, Youtube, Instagram or Twitter account I don't really give it much importance.
Bluesky is the only one from the list that feels like you are trying to make a statement.

I'm only on YouTube from this list.
Neogaf is a social media platform, a small, specialized community. It's the future of social networks.
I follow Neogaf and Resetera, two different perspectives. I like them both. I'm open-minded.

I don't participate in any of them. Deleted everything about 8 years ago. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Probably Bluesky? All of the others have really bad aspects to greater or lesser degrees (Reddit and Facebook are almost as bad imo), but Bluesky's the only one that's got no redeeming features whatsoever.

TikTok was a watershed moment. There is a time before TikTok and a time after TikTok and that's really sad.

The only one I use from the list in YouTube, which I like aside from the ads.

I voted for Bluesky because I'm always seeing the most absurd anti-West takes being promoted from there. I also hate Instagram because my wife scrolls that often. Thankfully she doesn't waste time posting on it.

I dislike almost all of them and am rapidly turning into Grandpa Simpson shaking my fist at the clouds wishing we could go back to the halcyon days when the biggest "platform" people could have online were crappy LiveJournals and half-assed blogs no one ever visited and short form opinions were gatekept behind newspapers' "Letters to the Editor" submission boards.

But I digress. If I had to pick my least favorite, it's TikTok. So much of the modern era brain rot originates from TikTok and then spreads outwards to other socials like cancer. The rise of AI videos and deepfakes is going to make TikTok so much worse in the future. My second least favorite would be a tie between X/Twitter and BlueSky because, as far as I'm concerned, they're opposite sides of the same coin of extremism. Muskbros talk about X as if it's a free speech haven, and the BlueSky users cheer about how their restrictions are good for free speech. Same extremist shit sandwich.

The only one I use regularly is Facebook and that's largely because I have to keep Messenger around to communicate with certain family and friends who don't want to use anything other than Messenger. [Late Edit:] I guess I use YouTube as well but I don't really consider that a social media platform, per se, especially since all I ever do with it is use videos to fall asleep to.

You seriously had MySpace as an option, but not Reddit?

Anyway, my answer is Reddit.
Sorry. Guess I had a lot on my mind, and just simply forgot to put Reddit on. Though that's why I had "Other," just in case.

Myspace was just for yucks and giggles.
TikTok, mainly because it started the trend of shorts.

Edit: how do I vote on the poll?

You should be able to pick a choice and click vote. Not sure what the issue is.

YT is by far the best but you can barely call it social media, X is good and bad canceling out, Instagram is sort of just a display of vanity, fb is for boomers, TikTok ruined video content landscape, reddit is moderated by the worst people, bluesky is basically the those same reddit mod types in their own mentally ill bubble.
