It is interesting, I haven't given much thought to the future of AI companions (non-physical) until seeing this thread. I saw the movie "Her" several years ago and dismissed it as a flight of fancy. But the world has changed significantly even in this short time since its release. I can see AI companions being a HUGE deal in the not-too-distant future, and I can absolutely see people buying Quest headsets so they can feel closer to their "AI Brides.." Even if just for a little while, it is not hard to imagine a certain segment of the population getting a lot of fulfillment from an algorithm that knows all their hopes, dreams, and desires, and is constantly willing & available to have some (seemingly) meaningful back-and-forth with them at a moment's notice.
It feels particularly dreary and empty to consider. The next 15-20 years are going to be a fascinating time; and you thought technology was making people go crazy NOW...

I want a robot which helps me out doing house cleaning and maintenances, and assist me while I cook or work - also gotta be easily maintaining or self maintaining and economical.
If I ask that to girls these days to do that with me, I’d be labeled as a sexist. But it goes both ways too… and the need for assistance stays true in anyone’s life, unless you hire someone.
I am a decent home maker myself with good cooking skills and keeps my house in clean status at all times… but I get older, I’ll someday would need assistance - and if a human help isn’t available 24/7 (unless I wear Life Alert lol) - I wouldn’t mind a robot helper to aid my independence till death.
To some who may think this is sad - it is. What if you are sick and can’t take care of your wife? What if both of you are old and frail, but don’t want to give up your independence or become burden to your kid(s)? I have a kid, but I don’t want to be a burden, nor dependent on another.
Old days, we didn’t have choice - but maybe in the future, I do hope robot helpers would give some dignity back to elderly folks.
At my age, sex isn’t the most driving motivation- although I am still enjoying with my gf quite frequently. But housekeeping robot? Take my money!!!

With each of these subscribers, the exchange ends after three messages (highly unrealistic).
That's 900 messages the woman has to answer per day.
How does she manage?
What about a woman that has 10000 subscribers?
In summary, only a fool could assume he is talking to the actual woman and not someone she employs to handle her messages.

It's because of the interaction. The AI (LLM) is good enough to replace that already - I wouldn't be surprised if most OF thots use LLMs to answer the messages and have conversations using their personality with members. When the AI (ML image/video generators) get good enough to replace the actual human that you see pictures and videos of, is when things will get interesting. Real women are going to be forced out of their own platform by men programming ML models and they are going to absolutely rake in the cash.

Yes it will come with complications. But AI can have perpetual romantic love, and far more tolerance.
It is humans and we've seen the right training or beliefs being taught and they'll withstand torture for their beliefs, will kill family and friend, and will even commit suicide if the belief calls for it. And that is just humans with patriotism, religious fervor, etc. An ai could be sentient and have even stronger inclinations towards whatever goals it is given.
As for humans romantic love also initiates as part of instinctual drives or programs put there in the brain with genes driven by evolution to promote reproduction. In some this causes them to defend and protect even alcoholic or violent and abusive partners.
As for robots, they do have the benefit that they need not show wrinkles, darkspots, or signs of aging. They'll look 18 forever if that's the age of preference. Unlike humans who age and die, robots can be immortal and last for the lifetime of the user and beyond.
The biggest thing, is that eventually the likeness of anyone will be usable in private. Meaning people are going to have to offer even more with their personality above their attractiveness. And don't doubt that if agi is reached personality of ais will also reach top notch state, which will make those humans with toxic personalities pretty much untouchable by other humans.

That's easily handled with AI.
Yeah this will be the pattern, like in all industries. First, the old ways are moved online; then, they are supplemented by AI tooling; finally, AI replaces them and no longer needs the human in the loop.
Take photography as an example:
- the first "disruption" was stock photo sites. Instead of selling directly, or instead of companies keeping a photographer on staff, you buy individual photos. Many photographers end up embracing this and dutifully create large portfolios of stock images to sell. This was their OnlyFans stage -- itemized, easy, on demand.
- the second wave is that technical automation changes the game. Stock photo sites began to so systematically tag every photo that it becomes a complete and easy visual database. You don't even need a client to pick out a photo, they can just take their latest PR post or spam article and send to an API "get me a photo for this" and bam. A little bit of machine learning or AI tooling like vector search creeps into the setup willingly, and the artists mostly embrace since it makes things easier/faster. This is the phase where OnlyFans sites probably are now--presumably many or most of the creators are starting to use a little AI to make their photos sexier, speed up chatting with clients, etc.
- the third wave is when the previous wave has managed to create so perfect and complete a database of interactions and content that the AI can now just go forward on its own. After all, the reason image models became so powerful so quickly is largely thanks to being able to train on massive, carefully tagged databases of stock photos which the photographers themselves curated on stock photo sites without realizing it was just as step towards replacing them. This is where OnlyFans will end up... we'll have a database perfect enough of the interactions and even video that an AI girl (who won't even look that different since the real girls are already using AI filters and chat helpers) will be able to do it all, at scale, cheaper, and with this now possible, no company will bother trying to bring real girls on the payroll with all their legal issues and baggage.
In short, OnlyFans is a stepping stone, a strange but historically limited waypoint on the path to almost entirely replacing real women with AI for the creation of sexual content on demand, in any niche, with constant chats and personalization, etc.
