On the plus side there is finally a non bashing Youtube video about the Xbox One with more likes that dislikes.
GAF will save it maybe

It's almost like the console isn't out yet.
You don't think Sony wants that demographic too?
I was the one that made that thread. It turned out they had two playthroughs on their page. The demo one, and a different one. I mistakenly took the different one as the only upload. They didn't fake it.
C'mon now, Microsoft doesn't fake stuff at presentations.

That wasn't from a presentation, it was from a performance.
Why is it people always just go, "Well, Sony too!"
True or not this cracked me up.That wasn't from a presentation, it was from a performance.
And in the past we've certainly seen that same phenomena work completely against Sony and work for MS. Or Nintendo. Or any other major player in the industry. Balance isn't achieved moment to moment, never has been.Without tarring everyone with the same brush, I see a lot of people willingly ignore potential issues with the PS4 when they are raised and many more jumping on the Xbox One funeral party highlighting issues over and over again.
Since some people thought it was deceiving. I was mainly paying attention to the choppy ass video feed, but here:
"See how fast that was? Let's do it again. Xbox TV."
lol.
Am I crazy for thinking they will NEVER get the TV part to be super responsive and fast without lag? Aren't you just controlling your cable box with the Xbone? If so, you're limited to how fast your cable box can respond to commands and process signals.
My cable box from Comcast isn't terrible as far as cable boxes go, but it is still pretty slow and there is often a noticeable lag between the push of a button and a response. You cannot instantly switch channels or quickly scroll through the guide.
Yes indeed. I do the same thing with everything in the industry. Hope but verify.
Crazy buttocks being the boss once again.

A Verizon Fios box I've used at someone else's house was WAY worse. Like astonishingly slow. I don't know how a computer connected via HDMI could speed that up.
But the other stuff - the laggy video in the corner, the faked presentation, I don't really care about that. I thought it was pretty clear it was a demonstration of a concept not a real live demo.
Now if they can never come close to what they showed, that will be pretty shitty and they'll get deserved hate for it.
PS4 can't have the same used game DRM. Games work offline without ever connecting online. To make themselves feel better about their poor allegiances? Who knows.
The funny thing about the "Sony too!" bandwagon is that most of the time they are wrong. About the share button, about always online, about forced PSEye etc. Only thing that remains to be seen is the used game angle. Hopefully Sony don't disappoint on that front, so far based on what they've said, they won't there either.
The thing is, you don't bring a balanced opinion and it's actually offensive for you to get all self-righteous about it. It's okay to be biased but to go to a mountain top and look down at us plebs is foolish to say the least. You like the Xbone. It's really is okay, we all have our preferences.

I see. You incorrectly assume I told Reiko about a hardware spec upgrade. The whole Reiko and inside knowledge on hardware improvements debacle?

Remember Milo?
Yeah hes the reason Kinect 2.0 is always on...Hes going to lead the war..You've all been warned!
with 3 OS and 3 GB of RAM reserved?
Thats rough but it could be because of a million things, compatibility with the cable box, not a finished OS product, you know, pick one.
I think the approach is vastly different and one company has my interests in focus (games) for launch and will tackle attempting to gain that segment later on.
The other seems to be dead locked on getting that demographic more so because they know they have the gamers already. I feel like they might have a game or two that will be cool but in the grand scheme of things it's a large illusion.
I'd love to eat some crow at E3, honestly.

I miss him.
There's several layers of lag inherent into cable box switching with an external device.
It's going to be laggy no matter what. Plus it has to constantly rescale a 1080p signal down to a thumbnail while outputting it's own 1080p signal.
*bzzt*
Customers aren't going to care *why* their experience is poor. They only care that it's poor.
MS was demoing their product with a cable box that was incompatible....
LOL.
The original in game dashboard was trash in PGR3, and look how amazing it is now. I am confident they will surpass whatever they showed during that presentation.

Isn't this sort of standard stuff at conferences?

So i guess youre one of those people who think the betas should play like the final products then? Good to know.
Xbone can't catch a break.... not that it deserves one though.-TV, TV, Sports, CoD.
-Hesitant to talk about specs for obvious reasons.
-DRM galore.
-Every executive at the company says something different showing they have no fucking clue what they're doing.
-Lied about Ram bandwidth.
-Got torn apart for the Cloud talk.
-Arrogance has surpassed 2006 Sony ("Everyone has fast internet", "Consumers will buy anything", "We'll kill Sony at E3", "Gamers will choose us at E3").
And now we see this.
-Faked OS demonstration.
Tremendous work MS.
