All joking aside, your friend is obviously obsessed to the point where he is becoming a danger to himself. He needs help and this is coming from somebody with a graduate degree in psychology. You're in a tough situation as his friend. If I was in this situation I would tell him that I think he may need help. Maybe talk to his relatives if that's possible, let them know what's going on. The guy wants to swallow a video game because he wants it to be inside of him. Will it end there? Not likely. Even if he does not harm himself this time, when he realizes that even this is not enough he may escalate.
