Is it just me or does the Main Character in SS look super imposed onto the scene in some of these screens. It's weird as he sometimes looks as though he's way too far in the foreground relative to where he's standing in the scene, as if he's hovering in front of it.

Probably just something that's happening in screenshots.

Side effect of DOF??? when captured statically?

This is actually my least favourite shot. To me, it looks like real people have been superimposed on a videogame background. Not to say the quality is anything other than amazing, but the characters just look out of place to me.

MGS: GZ is really nice, visually speaking, but it has that plastic-ish look which makes it quite unrealistic. I think InFamous has a better use of shading and lighting.

Edit: actually in the last screens the sun seems to be up, in the middle of the day, but the light is still sunset like.

It's not dynamic. There are eight time of day/weather presets that are determined by the last story mission you completed.

Second Son looks really really good, easily the most impressive example of this gen yet, but games still have a looooong way to go before they acheive anything on that level.

Time of day is dictated by the story just like the previous games. Sucker Punch wanted complete control over the look and feel of each time of day.

I don't know man, it looks pretty damn good for a cross gen game. I agree, maybe not as great an impact as previous MGS, but those were exclusives vs. this one that's on five consoles.

Since the game hasn't even been released yet I definitely wouldn't post spoilers, just out of courtesy. Anything wildly out of what has been revealed in trailers or gameplay footage, and certainly anything relating to unrevealed powers (only smoke and neon have been revealed). If you really want to, then mark them as such and just post the link instead of embedding the image. There is always the spoiler thread to post specific shots in too.

I know right? I didn't play SS yet. Anyway, when in motion, KZ's jaggies are very hard to detect, but when you take a screenshot it is really noticeable. It looks good tho, considering it's a launch game!

As a PC gamer, I have access to Tomb Raider, Thief, and Sleeping Dogs. I'd trade them all for what I've seen in Second Son so far. To have that on PC... would be amazing.
