I do think that the gravity mechanic isn't really all that different like the flying sections. It is more like the underwater sections. It just changes up the physics slightly and adds more paths.
Well, the producer's obviously going to say that and none of the other two have anything to do with gameplay (do we even know anything about the game's 'content' beyond the standard expectation of 16 new + 16 retro courses?). Certainly haven't seen the zero gravity thing being used as anything other than a visual gimmick yet. I'm not at all saying the game's going to be bad, just that from everything I've personally seen so far, it's just another MK with a fresh coat of paint.
I don't know, Konno is just one of the guys I trust. While I don't know what is exactly new beyond the replays, I do feel that this game is looking to be the ultimate MK. It follows in MK7 in gameplay which arguably has the best gameplay out of all MK games.Nintendo hasn't gone on the record to say exactly "what" features the upcoming Mario Kart 8 will include, let alone what Power-Up's will be included. If it has the mission mode from MKDS, item stealing from MMDD, etc., then I would agree with the producer's claim.
I don't really judge course design till I get the game. But they look nice graphics wise. You forgot that the courses design are amazing so far.
