You're back!

Wow big upgrade from your last setup. Much cleaner.

I've seen a couple of Aeron chairs here.
To the owners: how much did you pay for it? New? Refurb? Used? And where are you from.
Because those chairs cost around $1800-3000 here in Croatia (tax included) which is ridiculous.

I see used Aerons going from offices that went out of business or liquidated or whatever for $400-ish pretty often (located in Los Angeles)

Dhs is dirhams to my knowledge and it's 3.68 to a dollar so it's about $325.

Yep you are right. Was just giving approximations.

Good to see someone not using TV speakers.

Sound is way more important to me than visuals.

Haha yeah 6 month ban. Cheers and yes I like the new stuff too. Got a new lamp coming on Monday from ID design so will update then. Although my chairs are now covered as I have a new kitten.

My polished aluminium one cost around £700, once-in-a-lifetime deal, just got lucky with the timing. One of my standards was a parting gift when I left my last job so cost nothing, and the other cost around £50, immaculate but sold with a faulty recline (half-hour DIY fix, now good as new).

Try Craiglists or eBay used. Used aren't much different from new ones if taken care of.

Thought I'd throw out an alternate opinion for those looking at the Aeron chair. I have one at work and find it uncomfortable for long sessions. I'm taller about 6' 3" so the back is not nearly high enough for me. I would say this would be a problem for anyone around 6 foot. The frame winds up digging into my back and I don't fit the ergonomics overall. If it was a high back chair I would enjoy it much more.

I literally can't get over the post with 3 TITAN Blacks... I mean, each to their own of course.. But good god. Just get one and spend that cash on other things?! Man!

Nice collection you got there. But I wonder, is there a Xbox 360/One game you don't own? And you don't have your PS3/PS4/Xbox One hooked up?

Edit: And you're missing(?) the best Xbox 360 of them all, the Halo Reach edition.

Yea dude i've been trying to track down a reasonably priced Reach console and the Star Wars one, those are the only two S consoles missing, I'll snag em before next year though!

I hooked up the PS3 in the living room and the PS4 was going to go in the bedroom but I swapped everything out, I'll take new shots soon along with my new rig that I built last week, just need to clean up a bit.

I like Xbox Juan and had enough trade credit for two and a PS4, was originally going flip one but that was a terrible investment :(

I guess I'm just confused by the collection. Is the goal to purchase and own every XBONE game?

Yea! I want all the physical Xbox One games, so far i'm only missing Kinect Sports Rivals (lame) and Murdered Soul Suspect, they should drop to $20 soon and I'll snag them then.

First setup in my first apartment. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to cover those cords from the electrical outlet? I hate how they were placed. I can't really change my setup to cater to them. It drives me crazy.

I was thinking of getting another "unit" to extend that TV stand. Right now it is one double unit and a single unit attached. I am thinking of getting another double unit and attaching it to the existing double unit (getting rid of the single unit). This would make it long enough to be able to hide the cord coming out of the outlet on the left side. I can then plug both surge protectors into that outlet and leave the one on the right of the stand unused. I would also gain an additional drawer of storage and be able to put my Wii U and PS3 on separate shelves.

My only concern is if the TV stand will look strange width the width of the stand being 95" while my TV frame width is 51". What do you guys think of this idea?

When I was searching for a good desk chair I went to a ergonomics store, and the specialist basically confirmed this. Depending on your proportions, after around 6 foot the Aeron isn't a good fit.

God that case makes me hate my Antec 900 so much. So many better design choices made there..........

Man I feel your pain, I had an Antec 900 for 4+ years, it was my last build that this PC replaced. I loved it at the time, it's a beast of a case but the Antec P280 truly outclasses it, its super quiet-I sometimes forget that it's even on.

The side-slotted drive bays made it a breeze to hot swap all those smaller capacity drives in order to transfer the data to the new 4TBs. Couple the P280 with Corsair's removable connectors for the PSU... cable management becomes unbelievably easy. With no wires in the way I was able to use the stock heatsink and maintain sub 30C temps under light load!

(I hate stock heatsinks btw)

Why do you have 4 360s hooked up to the same tv?

1 PAL console for German and UK exclusives/region locked games
1 NTSC-J console for Japanese and Asian exclusives/region locked games
1 NTSC for loading up arcade and digital games (HDD was at max capacity)
1 NTSC for playing disc based games

I had to find a use for multiple NTSC consoles since it's impossible for me not to buy the LE consoles. :-\

That place is beautiful. It looks so spacious too. What city are you in?

Thanks. It was in Montréal. My penthouse is too, but it's under construction now.

Now I'm building a house bordering Vermont. I had put multiple offers on parcels of land in Eastern Ontario but all of them were contaminated... So no house until late 2016 at least.

It sucks because I live in a tiny appartment in the meantime. I just hate the feeling of having no home.

jesus..that looks amazing to live in.

It was, but I found it difficult to live without indoor parking spaces. My motorbike was damaged last year so it pissed me off as it was brand new. I couldn't justify myself to spend $95 000 on a space just to park my bike...

I thus decided to sell the place so I could buy a (bit) smaller two storey loft with a private terrace with spa and two indoor parking spaces.

I'll be living like a poor student for the next year... Sigh...

Wait... You MOVED from that place in the first few photos? That place is stunning!

Btw, what is the difference between a penthouse and the type of place you are moving to?

Yes, I officially moved a few weeks ago even if I was in Ontario for nearly 8 months.

Well I'm moving to a penthouse technically, but it's an old factory being converted to lofts. I know the designer so I made a rough plan of a two storey unit with a terrace. There will be only 3 two storey units of the 60 available. I'm happy because I got two entire wall of bricks this time and two storey lofts are quite rare, even for an old city like Montréal.

My design is nearly finished, it will be more of a modern pub and lounge style than bauhouse.

For my house I got 1895 bricks. The outside will looke like a futuristic rural school but the inside will be all modern with the entire back wall made of glass.

I hope you don't think me rude by asking but what the hell do you do for a living? That place is beautiful and it sounds like you're moving to another beautiful place.

Gaming room is too small to take a decent picture in but ow well.

Got rid of a lot of books, and gave the Skylanders their own shelf to avoid a lot of hassle when my cousins come over. TV is an ancient LE32B450 but as I currently only have a Xbox 360 and GameCube equipped that's just fine. Still finishing up my last gen colletion before I make the jump :)

I'm considering buying a metal marquee sign and hanging over my TV. I'm struggling becuse they are custom built and expensive. What do you guys think? The marquee signs would likely be "movie" or "cinema" theme, something like these:

il_fullxfull_563119888_ndku.jpg

And here is a picture of my living room where it will be mounted over the TV.

Do you think it would look cool and is it worth it?

Seems like it's a bit overkill for a non-dedicated space. That looks like the main room on the entry floor? Ultimately it's your house, your call, but if it was a basement-type area that was set up like a dedicated movies/games/man cave area, ok.
