Agree.
This is a mistake they need a subscription model.
Hopefully MGS4 is available, I'd like to finally play it before TPP.
Mort tweeted the entire list as of yesterday. I don't think they've added more.

All of these games have been in previous phases. Note that there are still no Sony games AFAIK yet. I'd assume that's supposed to mean something?

Also, why are there even rental prices on PS1 and PS2 games? Why not just let us buy the games for the same price?
I get pissed every time this gets bumped and I have to see these ridiculous prices.
IMO they should delete the "4 hour option". Instead do something like this:
2 hours trial = Free.
2 days = 2.99$
7 days = 5.99$
15 days = 8.99$
30 days = 12.99$
90 days = 19.99$
Obviously they could increase prices for newest releases. At the same time PS2 and PS1 (if exist) titles should be cheaper.
Uhm, what? There are only PS3 games right now. Wasn't it rumored they were working on actual PS1/PS2 remasters or something?

There are a lot of people who don't have PlayStation 3s, and PlayStation 4s won't play the discs.$20 to rent an old game that can likely be bought for around $5-15? Hell no.
There are a lot of people who don't have PlayStation 3s, and PlayStation 4s won't play the discs.
People keep forgetting that point in relation to this feature.

I'd imagine most people that really care that much about playing retro games, have the old consoles. Even if they don't that doesn't make $15-20 any more justifiable. That's just absurd. Hell, at those prices, the cost of a few 90 day rentals will buy you a PS3. It's ridiculous any way you slice it.

Are you say it's absurd for the consumer that is willing to rent it at that price or absurd for Sony to be willing to charge?
I have already said I think the prices are ridiculous.
However, your "I'd imagine" is just your imagining and says nothing about the people who are actually going to use it.
People who don't have PlayStation 3s is a quantifiable number. Your imagining who would care to use the feature is not.
Sdcowboy pls find me darks souls for under 15 bucks in copenhagen, or dead rising 2.
Ok?

With all due respect, I don't care how much it costs in Europe. I'm talking about the US. Here it's around a $5 title. That's why there are different pricing structures in different parts of the world for many services. Maybe in Copenhagen, the prices are a good deal. Here in the states, they're absurd.
Good thing the world is bigger then the usa then and sony unlike ms is targetting the global market
Uncharted 1 costs 18 dollars second hand here at gamestop

And as you posted, PS1 games are supposed to be coming.
Saints row the third is 30 for three monthsI don't think people should be blaming Sony here for the prices. They have said it's up to publishers. When I look at the prices, the only games that are exorbitantly high have one thing in common: Square Enix. Everything else (be it smaller in size or larger) has much more reasonable pricing. I don't think there are any games that have $20+ options that aren't published Square Enix. Sega's games are quite reasonable. Same with Capcom. I believe $15 is the most with those games.
Their FAQ mentions ps4 games although that would probably be restricted to ps4s.will there be ps4 games? If you aren't going to have all of the games out then don't bother
I want to be able to rent a ps4 game at the release day, not 100 days after
I don't have a ps4 but still
It should be $5 for 30 days and... that's it only that. Or go subscription based.
The problem though is (just like Pachter said) that it is the publisher who sets the price and by that alone only a subscription based structure would work IMO.

The reactions here are valuable, I'm sure that's exactly why Sony revealed the prices during beta and why they're already in flux. They're in a weird position, they're the first to open the door on streaming rentals at this big a scale and there aren't any rules yet. So obviously they've got to start high and see how people react till they hit the sweet spot.
Unfortunately, the sweet spot according to many people on this board is unrealistic. It'll never be cheaper than gamefly, and yeah you might be able to buy certain games for the same price. But there's a pretty big market of people with just Sony TVs or tablets who would like to try out a lot of things they otherwise wouldn't have access to, and they'll probably be willing to pay more than gamefly rates. I just hope there's a compromise with games already purchased digitally, for those who've already bought in to the system.
This is a mistake they need a subscription model.
Do you have any suggestions as to how much it should cost or how much you're willing to pay? There's no doubt Sony is looking for feedback.
