I thought the Impa and Mach Rider rumor comes from the same guy who leaked the character select screen last week? If so it definitely adds some credibility, even though it's totally possible he could be messing with us.

I really wouldn't count on it. Just give up, he's included in the random leak lists just to mess with people.
Don't believe in anything not in pictures/video. And distrust the pictures.

At best, characters who either weren't finished or unlocked when this video was recorded. At worst...RIP.
He has messed with us. Like, he literally said the DLC rumor he posted was false when he mentioned those two. There's not a damn reason to believe a word he says.

I think what we have now is what we're stuck with.
Would love to be wrong but it's better to spare yourself the disappointment.

The only character from that rumor list I think has a good shot is Chorus Men. Mewtwo and Dixie Kong would be nice bonuses.
If this hadn't been leaked we all could have called and bitched at Japan next month when everything about the game gets spoiled.

Heads are definitely going to roll at the ESRB for this. The folks in charge of rating Smash will have to answer some hard questions.

They will be boring crap. Maybe some assist trophy, at best a new stage for WiiU.

I figured it was real--that Duck Hunt Dog was just so good-- but wanted it to be fake so badly for the reasons you guys have gone over already. Pre-Smash hype is so special, and only comes really once a decade. It's a shame to see this end so early due to some jerk at the ESRB and I hope this forces them to review their practices to prevent this from happening again. At least with Gematsu it was

At least I'm all settled in for the pre-Smash 6 hype of 2021!

Doesn't matter at that point as the game has been legitimately released.

One of the non imgur leaks showed that All Star Mode was locked, and All Star Mode is playable when all the characters are unlocked.
