Well looping installation sequence, 2 blue screens and got cock blocked trying to install my LAN drivers so had to force them in but finally up and running. Yeah it's a preview alright. Very jittery navigating even basic OS elements and some windows become unresponsive for a second or two. Unless you want a play around and see what's what I'd wait it out for a bit and I really wouldn't recomend it for the non savy users or as a daily use OS, even for light usage folks. There's a long way to go, like 12 months plus, before Windows 10 will be on the shelves.

I dunno

I played a lot of it, but I don't really like the way that game looks from an art style standpoint

maybe I should just skip Torchlight, too

I can't think of a single game in that genre I've actually finished because I always lose interest during the grind partway through

Thanks for the heads up. I'm also going to be giving it a go later so I'll let you guys know if I have similar findings.

Little hint for finding success in Banished. Set up a Firewood trading factory.

Trade/collect wood, convert it to firewood, trade it for whatever you need. It's the most economical way to advance yourself throughout the game.

Two of the new features that are already handy are smart, Bing connected search and finally native multiple desktops. Granted it's not as flash or as user friendly as Expose and Spaces on OS X but it's been something I've been after for a while with battling screen real estate. Though the more thread relevant test is next up as I'm just installing Steam.

I always turn the bing search stuff off in Win8. I might turn it back on though....
