Question for Ps4 players. Does the motion tracker have to be played through the controller? Is there anyway to play it in game?

So should I splurge on this game? Not sure if I find this scary from reading GB review... though intial impressions are good... Anyone wanna convince me? (If I do get it, it will be for ps4).

I tend to get bored by games after 2 or so hours. I'm scared as hell but still want to continue, if that helps.

I kinda regret not getting the PS4 version (more so if/when they fix the cut scenes), i got the PC version for my TV setup and despite running it maxed out with great FPS, i really want the tracker sounds coming out of the controller and the real noise detection of the mic. I really wish the devs would at least patch that noise detection into the PC version, it sounds like a great feature and i just don't understand why they didn't bother with it on PC.

I could have sworn I used a plasma torch to open an orange panel in mission 7, but I don't seem to have one for this orange panel in mission 10. Are they a one use thing? Or am I getting confused?

Na, just wait a few more days for The Evil Within instead.

Wait for Alien to be on sale in a month or two; the 'hide and seek' game play gets very old, very quickly.

Loving the game so far but I'm having a little trouble understanding the tracker device.. I get that it is supposed to bug out from time to time but what are the directional arrows at the bottom for? LEFT DOWN RIGHT? I apologize is this should be painfully obvious...

OK, I've just finished chapter 4 on Hard, and apart from the cut-scene, I haven't seen the Alien once yet.

Is that normal? (I'm crouching everywhere)

I grew up on the Alien franchise; I've played every game (including the horrible ones) and I still love it.

This game isn't BAD, it's just not worth paying MSRP for right out the door; I promise it's going to go on sale very quickly.

The Evil Within is going to bring true Survival Horror back from the dead.

Now that's worth blowing your load over, day one.

People are liking the game, most reviewers liked it too. Don't want to force you to do anything, so it's up to you.

If you can get this and TEW at the same time and enjoy the AAA horror renaissance we're living through.

I am loving it, think it is my Game of the Year. Just love the tension and atmosphere. The sound effects are great, you hear the Alien clomping around in vents and I get paranoid by little bangs, creaks and hisses.

CA have done as great a job here as Westwood did on that title. Congrats both teams and RIP Westwood.

Phew, played 2 hours of this (4 total). I love horror but managing the stress between the fairly infrequent saves and not getting caught means I need to play it in doses rather than marathon through.

I'm quite enjoying my time with it though. I slowly meandered through the beginning bits to soak up the environment. The game just oozes atmosphere and I love taking it in. I just finished mission 4 which is...halfway through I think?

Damn cheapest death ever in chapter 4.
Got past the working joes on ly way to the train. Running as i was spotted, so i didnt bother saving beforz the elevator. (Too fucking stressed out). I was in the clear when out of nowhere the alien grabs me from a vent. No warning at all. Frustrating as hell

I didn't ragequit after that, but it was close. I Scaredquited though, lol. Really like the game, but frustrations like these aren't fun at all.
especially as you're still suposing the alien won't be a real factor until later

To ad insult to injury: i read about this cheap death in a review, so i could've avoided it if i wasn't stressed out and not minding the surroundings.

Well, if that happened in real life you wouldn't get a warning, Aliens are the perfect killing machine, silet and deadly.
