Thi Direct was superb. Bowser Jr. and the koopalings look amazing in HD, everything looked fun and I'm glad that they're planning on creating some DLC since Mewtwo was announced as one.

I'm so glad right now. The 3DS version was a huge letdown to me, since it felt like everything but the core-gameplay received a huge downgrade. The Wii U version on the hand looks like exactly the kind of Smash experience I'm interested in.

I'd throw the 3DS cart in the trash, but I still want that Mewtwo. :p

The door for DLC is now officially open.

And so is my wallet

Yep. Still, the fact that Mewtwo's still in development means that I seriously doubt Spainkiller's leak. I can forgive Ridley since he's clearly a very active model. However, Dixie and Chorus Kids were nowhere to be found and Mewtwo isn't yet finished. I personally think the leak was full of crap and just got lucky on Mewtwo, who was a returning vet anyway.

Best bits for me were Tournys basically being the community tournament things from MK8 meaning we can set up a GAF one and let it run forever and just hop in there when we want to fight some random gaffers (until the hype dies down and everyone stops), Mewtwo's return, Stage Builder being better than I thought it could be (drawing stages an not just choosing pre defined blocks).

Suprisingly the best thing for me was just seeing some cool looking stages. Aside from that this direct did nothing for me. Was expecting something really exciting and out of the left field but that's on me for putting so much expectations on this so close to release.

Spring? That's a really long time for a character that previously existed in Smash, unless they're completely reworking him. I hope there's more to it than just him.

Then again, they seem to be busy finishing all the modes they're promising.

They are prob just holding him back so they can release him with the other unannounced DLC, no way it takes that long to make one character

Buy both versions and you get a sweet two disc soundtrack and Mewtwo?

Sold.
Yeah, I have to find a way to afford both before January.

And I'm assuming the Mewtwo reveal confirms DLC characters could/will happen. Really want my Ice Climbers but since they want the same roster on both versions, I might miss out on them this game. Unless they change their minds but getting Mewtwo is pretty darn awesome.

holy crap... my internet died just in the middle of the "share" feature... I totally missed mewtwo.

btw... I didn't get the 8 players mode... is online only? or can it be played locally too?... if so... how?, I'm confused. WiiU supports 8 controllers?

And with that...every one of my Smash mains join under one disc.

Too glorious.

The only thing that would make this game liquid Jesus would be allowing all the two player modes and Smash Tour to be usable online.

I missed the first 5 things but holy crap that was incredible. Hopefully the online modes are good, since I don't have anyone to play with locally anymore.

Oh they are. They even made it a BIG point to go buy a LAN adapter. Also GAF tournaments are going to be easy to make with the tourny mode (even for small battles) along with stage creator.

But I think you just need to register your 3DS game in the club Nintendo, and then you can sell it. That's what I'm planning to do.
At least I hope so, otherwise one would just have to borrow a cartridge to unlock him, no?
