There's more to it then that. I guess its not a big deal at all to admit that the PS4 version is in fact the superior version, but it isnt a big deal either to admit that a console ecosystem involves more then slightly better graphics. I dont understand why some people dont understand that.

I know some friends who have both the PS4 and the XB1 version, and they usually go for the cheaper copy or, even with the same price for the "inferior" version to play online with other specific friends or because they like that system more for whatever reason.

Imho, if to buy console games you should always go to the slightly better version, then its easier just buy a PC.

I can see the 'friends' argument persuading some folk to pick the weaker version of a multiplatform.
I'm fortunate that my closest friends all jumped from X360 to PS4 too making that a problem I'm not troubled by.

I can't for the life of me understand an argument based around the controller (the DS4 is a great controller) or even worse - achievements!!!

Anyway, are there any other enhancements on Xbox?
It seems the PS4 has the graphical advantages but I thought someone said the Xbox uses the rumble triggers -is there any other stuff?

Fuck my friends, unless it's a heavily multiplayer focused game like CoD, i will go with the best looking version, even if it's just slightly better framerate or slightly sharper image. I can't settle for the lesser version available to me.

What about my post is not clear?

I have both consoles and I got it for Xbox One. Queue achievements and friends, etc. Although I like DS4 more than XB1 controller.

Truthfact is, it's faster to get Xbox One version, since I can download at 150-600Mbps from Xbox Live, on PS4 it would take me 1-2 days to download game with how slow PSN is for me. I've ordered physical copy from Amazon for PS4 for "game collection", but I probably won't play or even open it, as with almost all games this gen. I just keep buying them digitally and play them on Xbox, while waiting for PS4 physical copy to arrive (3-4 days), by the time PS4 copy arrives I am too invested into Xbox version.

PSN is dog shit, and since I can't get games on release day where I live, I have to go digital. Xbox Digital is faster, cheaper and more convenient (no account juggling). On PS4 I have to buy for ridiculous prices of PAL stores or go through headache of dealing with different accounts. On tops of that I download at 20-30Mbps on average from PSN, when it's not down, lagging or in maintenance. From Xbox One I download on average at 500Mbps.

I also have PC that will be able to handle the game at 1440p@60FPS, if I want more grass and lens flares.

As for now, PS4 is my console to play Bloodborne on when that comes out and contingency plan if I will be on submarine to play my physical games. As I said, I so far bought each game on both consoles, with physical for PS4 for "collection in case of submarine gaming" and Xbox One to actually play those games.

My honest opinion is that the PS4 version has too much grass. On the One I can play it because I'm reminded that it's a videogame. On the PS4 version the grass makes it look too realistic, I might forget that I'm playing a videogame and then it wont be fun any more. When you combine the fact that the PS4 has too much realism with the better controller of the One and the fact that all of my friends play on One, the choice to me is clear.

How Rockstar decided to use the extra resources available to them is their business. I would have preferred some better anti-aliasing but a more fleshed out and immersive environment is welcomed.

So what kind of GPU and CPU are you using on your computer? Since you "Can't settle for the lesser version available to you" as you put it, I doubt you are playing any games on the Xbox One or PS4 unless they are exclusives.

Well since "look at all this mother fucking grass" was basically Rockstars entire marketing campaign for this remaster I think talking about 1 versions lack of said grass is totally worth talking about.

It got me so intrigued that I actually went out and bought the xbone version.

I can say that some areas it's really quite barren in foliage and other areas there is some weeds.

I never understood why people come into a tech focused thread and continue to tell people how the gameplay is great and nitpicking about details is a waste of time.

I also have no issue someone picking up the PS4 or XBOX One version due to friends or whatever, however have you guys ever tried being a wolf for once? Let your friends follow you to the superior version as far as performance/looks go Instead of always following them like a sheep.

I have the PS4 version and I definitely feeling it being low fps at times while driving,however I'm sure that is due to judder similar to destiny.(So hopefully it is fixed like it was in Destiny)

However I must say the PS4/X1 version of GTA V is barely any better as far as shimmering is concerned, my god it hurts my eyes.

I don't really think there is any room for argument, clearly the dense flora victor is the PS4 version by a country mile.

I'm just glad that the Xbox version is more than competent enough in all other areas, I was expecting a lower resolution and frame issues, so the fact that grass is the biggest compromise is kinda great really.

Well, whoever took these screenshots and ran with it, did so knowing it was this single patch of map where for some reason there was almost no grass, it's as bad as people who took 1 screenshot of some anomaly drop in framerate in CoD AW on PS4 and claimed Xbox version superior. I went into generic Forest area just now and that's what I see:

Anyone bothered to do screenshot on PS4, feel free to post it. I faced north, south and east standing on the edge of a road. I also captured location so people could easily find it. I am sure there is difference in foliage, but it's not as drastic as bogus screenshot above, where it looks like last gen with almost no grass. So far I didn't see anything like that with such a huge difference.
