To buy list for this sale:

South Park
Transistor
FF3 + FF4
Resident Evil 4
Shovel Knight

and I think that's it for games I'm dying to play.

I got a Killer is Dead Booster the other day and thought the heady mix of Waifu and Anime would net me a pretty price but the going rate was only 47p. Foils were going for £1+ but I wasn't willing to gamble as it would have been a loss on 3 standard cards over selling the Booster.

My rule is that i will always open Booster even if that means i will get less money :D I like to avoid "What if" situations when i can :D

Just in case someone doesn't have these ... they expire on Nov. 25th.

I am giving away 3 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (fallout, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

lol that "worst opinion you've heard" thread is basically where some people go to vent about others having a different opinion than them.

Also I'm still enjoying far cry 3, says I've clocked 8hrs into the game but didn't feel like it, it's kind of like an ass creed fps and kind of repetitive but it's alright, game looks pretty nice too, AO really helps making the grass look good in this game, I tried turning it off and man it looks like ass.

I actually really like far cry 3 despite all of the filler content and stupid story elements.

Best first person bow combat I've ever experienced in a game.

yeah i don't like the crafting stuff and such but I've just been sneaking around stealth killing people with the bow and it's kind of cool.

There's a digital Witcher board game? Interesting.

BlazeRush is a solid top down racer, much better than that WRC Powerslide. But you have to be able to deal with losing because of bad luck, often there's too much going on.
It's much more in the tradition of Rock n Roll Racing and Mashed than WCR Powerslide was.

Shit presentation aside, I really like it.

I played some Motorama. My Let's Play can be found here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGNtTk7m5BA&list=PLdC3pP79J-A9vVBkItqiJkURqd3aUW2Lv

Quick Impressions:

The music is awful. You can literally hear where the music loops. And there are only a few tracks. Worse is the BGM is tied to the level you're racing on, so the first few courses are tiring. Best bet is to just turn the Music slider to off and leave the effects on.

It's also buggy. There are two different parts in my LP where I fall through the world and another where my car is just going through psychedelic colors for no apparent reason.

It also feels like a milquetoast Unity game. It's a weird sentiment, but if you've played a Unity platformer, there is a resemblance to other games you've played. I am having difficulty putting my finger on it, but it doesn't feel like they tuned the game all that much outside of the imported physics engine.

The AI is laughably easy. All you need to do is shove them and then it's practically game over for them. They'll be zigging and zagging all through the course.

Having said all that, I was still having fun. The progression system is a bit too slow, but there is one level where you can grind money fairly easily. Also, it's not often you get to play a racing game set in the late 50's/early 60's hot rodding era. I only went two ranks deep, but I haven't had a chance to race for pink slips yet. I'm not sure if it's in the game, but that would be nice. (maybe it's because I only have one car?)

If it gets cheap enough on Steam sale or gets bundled, definitely give it a try.

Finger crossed at Assassins Creed games being discounted this upcoming sale. Not expecting it for Unity but Hopefully for Revelations, Brotherhood, III and Black Flag.

I said it yesterday, this is another proof everyone ignore my posts :D

You trying to muscle in on my jokes, punk? =p

Going by previous data, they'll get feeble discounts on Steam... and deep discounts for Uplay keys somewhere else.

Unity will be 25% off at some point during the Winter Sale.

too slow, Dawgg ;)

That will teach me for going off grabbing links!

I didn't think it'd come to Steam at all.

I thought this would be the carrot to get peeps to start using Galaxy and would remain exclusive for a while and then pop it on Steam to bring in some more numbers at a later point. Definitely did not see it being available in less than 3 days time. Plus Steam achievements and Leaderboards as well.

so today is my birthday

Happy birthday!

It looks pretty good. I'm still not entirely sold on the vehicular combat, but it doesn't seem to be that bad.

A Winter Wolves game and Slaughtering Grounds? Best bundle in a long time.

If you enjoy "hidden object" games, especially embedded into a light point-n-click adventure game, Nightmares of the Deep: The Cursed Heart just went on 60% off sale. It's really one of the best examples of that genre out there.

After 40 card drops, I got only 1 foil. Still 58 cards left to drop!

Heh, I got all the cards from 90 games before I got my first foil.

At least that was mentioned, unlike the Lean buttons.
lean buttons so far have been pretty useless

it's still hilarious that this game has a lean function in the first place

I didn't grow up with the game (I just never played it when it came out) and that's why it's hard for me to appreciate it for what it is, a product of its time. All I see is bad graphics and clunky controls and I don't necessarily want to deal with that. Early 3D is just harder to stomach for me and there's nothing silly about that. I bet there are enough people that can't or don't want to play FF7 for the same reason, even though it wouldn't be a problem for me at all, since I've played it a lot around the time it came out. Like I said, nostalgia goggles.

e: Just to be clear, I've played MGS 2-4 and enjoyed them all in their own ways. So it's really not a lack of interest in the series.
i dunno i think mgs holds up pretty well in comparison to some other games. like at least they're not ridiculous like in ff7, they're just super low res.

also clunky controls? pls

It was. I A-ranked that mother anyway.
It wouldn't have been so bad if
A) they'd added save/load keys so you didn't have to go through 20 menus each time. It's the fucking PC, you have a keyboard, just bind save/load to F keys, guys.
B) you could fucking abort watching the enemy turn as
Selvaria used all 20 AP to slowly but surely one-hit slaughter your entire team if you didn't position them just right
and you have to wait whole minutes before you can actually do ANYTHING, even loading. The times I alt-F4'd the fuck out of there...
load/save is not that bad but yeah that million dudes turn is depressing

i thought it was a pretty cool mission anyways

climbing the ladders to throw grenades in the tank was really cool

DAFUQ?!? O_O

Germany, STAHP!!!

The german title is bloody brilliant. I never heard about a "Großfeuerwerk" lol
E: Also the trailer... "developed by certified pyrotechnists"... "import your own music and sync the fireworks to the beat" lmao

Black Friday plan.

ebay - Wii U bundle with Super Mario 3D World
Target - Wii U pro controller
Wal-Mart - Mario Kart 8
Slickdeals leaked that there would be another B2G1 at Target coming up for Bayonetta, Kong, and Smash.

None of that is PC related...

Even worse, all of that is WiiU related... has Zeilard brainwashed you?

I said this last year with Splinter Cell Blacklist and was wrong, but this is highly unlikely.

I've been waiting. For physical, though...

Looks like it's hitting Amazon at the end of the month.

I'm disappointed that CDPR didn't go ahead with a physical dice poker set. Someone on GAF asked a dev about it at E3 and was told that although the general feeling internally was that there's not enough demand, it was being considered nonetheless.

Edit: I've said this a million times, but one of these days Valve really ought to have Raising the Bar reprinted for sale via the Valve Store.

This kind of stuff is super interesting to me now that I've done some game music, making sure the loops are smooth, etc. And yeah, that's a bad loop.
