I was casually browsing the Origin store when I noticed that apparently Far Cry 3 (both the deluxe and the standard editions) never ever mention the word "Uplay".

Now, I can't believe Ubi would sell its games DRM free (well, Uplay free) on Origin, so I'll just assume that EA doesn't give a shit about warning users of additional DRM systems.

According to Jasec, the first game with it on by default was on September 11th, though I can't remember what it was. Can't wait for the February reddit post about the inventory locks.

Daily updates of 500mb-1gb would be brutal.

Hell, even though I snagged DA:O when it was free on Origin, I'm still waiting for a good deal on Steam to actually play it.
Also, I've never even redeemed the Humble Origin Bundle, nor I've ever installed the client on any of my computers.

So, you know, I'm hardly in any danger. :D

To be fair we haven't had a big DS2 sale on Steam yet and nothing in the last months. Maybe that was deliberate.

2,50 for Alice: Madness Returns. Excellent price for a great game. Some people find the game too take a bit too long and become a bit repetetive, but for that price it's worth it for the artwork alone. This game is one of the best examples in environmental storytelling i've ever seen, and it handles some suprisingly mature topics rarely seen in games.
A real steal for that price. And it's a good, modern 3D Platformer. That's a rare thing, unfortunately.

EDIT: Oooh, and Rayman Origins for 2,49. Nice. One of my alltime favorite platformers. Excellent controls.

DA:O Origin version is the superior version, because it has a few free DLC exclusive to Origin, so you should play it on Origin instead of Steam if you want the full experience.

I immediately jumped on the Jet Set Radio and Alpha Protocol sales over at GMG. 93 cents for JSR with the voucher? No brainer.

EDIT: apparently that was yesterday's deal and I caught it right before it ended.

EA circlejerk. The client and their service is quite good imo, but like everybody else I dislike the seperation it introduces.
