I vote this. How's the thread coming along? :)

uugh....

It's coming along fine. I have the images/banners ready, just putting in information. Wanted to add a bit of detail to talk about each of the modes and such, since it's been sooooooo long since the last Guilty Gear.

just a question but is it true the full game is 66GB?

i mean for a place holder thats a first lol

ps: push sony to make the game available for pre-order already

I hate to say it, but having never been fully interested in fighting games, this kinda has my attention. I never played a Guilty Gear game before. Is the learning curve steep? And would I be missing out on anything giving this one a try first?

How does Sol's jump arc carry him far enough to hit that second air dust? I'm thinking its a quick ground dash that gives the jump momentum but whenever I do that the first air dust crosses up and knocks the dummy away in the opposite direction.

Yes, its run jump so he can get the 2 D in mid screen.
Does the Japanese game have any English options? I can understand basic Japanese but my kanji is.... not good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=juP7yg__JmY you can watch the 12 minute PV to see a bunch or random shots of UI and menus. The game clearly features a decent chunk of english text in UI.

All the button promts are in japanese though, so would definitely need to keep an electronic dictionary handy.

Can anybody tell me the timings and the method of doing this combo here?

right. when you run then angular jump, you jump further than doing a regular angular jump

The HK store is also getting Guilty Gear Xrd (English/Japanese Ver.) on the 4th and it's a lot cheaper than going through the Japanese PSN store. It's $358HKD for the PS3 version and $421HKD for PS4. Elphelt is also free if you buy it before the 17th. This also saves you the trouble of making a Japanese PSN account and navigating the Japanese store because the HK store is in english.

This game might be the pinnacle of cell-shading. Stunning.
It does look really awesome. When you're playing it's easy to forget it's the Unreal Engine underneath. What Arcsys did with that engine and applying GG's art style to it is unbelievable.

I really shoulda went with this version since I didn't preorder the japanese PSN version so I'd have to buy Elphelt. But I already bought all my PSN cards so whatever.

Yeah, I would have made a HK account for this, but already pre-ordered. Oh well.

This is why I always wait for the HK PS Blog to update before a major release if I'm going to import.

A lot of Asian versions of games are in English.

In this game's case, it's possible that English text/voices may also be available in the Japanese version.

Also the localization is almost done for the english version so they should have assets for most of it already. I mean you can set NA version of BB to full japanese. They could really do the same thing for the japanese version, it just depends on if they feel like it or if there are licensing issues involved.

Any recommendations for questions to include in a mini FAQ?

Got cross play, version differences, soundtrack stuff a bit, online features...

Hms.

a "who should i use" is always helpful.

Ky - if you like Ryu/ spacing, footsies
Slayer - if you like rushdown footsies, easy high damaging and target combos
Venom, Faust - if you like dhaslim zoning and longe/mid range poking

link to guides explaining a brief explanation to system mechanics (FD, Blitz Shield, Burst, etc). Or make a shorter compact explanation of them in the FAQ

Just try to focus on making it target noobs or people who never played Guilty Gear before. :)

Possibly add wikis for n00bs like me to the series! :/ I know dustloop is one, but what others that may provide some great knowledge.

I do have a "Useful Links" section which right now just has a link to the Dustloop wiki and the trophy list someone linked earlier. I am free to add them as provided.

The LE will be delayed :(

http://www.gamasutra.com/view/press...ar_Xrd_SIGN_Limited_Edition_to_be_Delayed.php

Aksys Games takes pride in publishing great games for players of all kinds. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- represents one of Aksys Games’ flagship titles, worthy of both a standard and limited edition for fans to enjoy. The Limited Edition we created for this title is one of our most complex and unique to date, featuring a US exclusive character book, a keychain, a vocal soundtrack, and premium box made to look like the tome, “The Backyard.”

However, we regret to inform our fans that the Limited Edition will be delayed due to the unforeseen strikes at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach, which have held up key components. Due to the unpredictable nature of the delay, there may be a one to two week postponement of the release of the Limited Edition. Aksys Games takes this matter seriously and will continue to update everyone as soon as we can. We would like to apologize for the delay and inconvenience that this has caused.

Please note that the Standard Edition will still be released on December 16, 2014.

According to PSN, the game will unlock tomorrow around 5:00 PM IIRC. Was expecting it to be later!
