So I'm trying to buy the game on the eshop and keep getting this code: 105-1029.

Anyone else in the same boat?

EDIT: Third time's the charm apparently. Weird!

Played through the first two (three? Does the intro count?) stages last night before bed. This game and I are going to have a very long, very passionate relationship.

The cold open was a wonderful surprise.

Completed the first episode, every gem except for one collected. Was not expecting there to be special objectives for each stage, so replaying them should be interesting.

Every little detail in Captain Toad's animations and his interactions are just delightful, I love it.

This is everything I wanted the game to be thus far. Love it

Damn I played from 10:30 to 4:30 getting all the gems and special objectives from book one and started a few of the challenge times which have been fun. Also did a lot of hanging out in various stages watching the environments and taking some screenshots which is great for me :)

Gonna hold off on book two a bit...I'm not the type who rushes to complete stuff, it'll be there, this game is allowing me to savor it :)

I've played about 10 or so stages and while I really like it, I hope to god there is a way to turn off the gyro controls. Whether or not I'm seeing it or maybe in an update because this is silly. Fun game, though.

Yeah, not crazy about the camera controls, but the game is slow enough paced and sparsely populated with enemies that its more of an inconvenience than something that will get you killed. Even with triggers and analog controls, it's never where I want it to be without having to wait until I get a good look at things to proceed.

I'm past the first boss and have all the secret objective so far. Didn't need to turn off head lamp to sneak past shy guys, but it's pretty cool to hear that it helps.

They should also patch it to give an option of getting rid of gyro and unnecessary touch controls.

To be completely honest, I'd like to play this with the remote and nunchuck completely on the TV, no Gamepad. But yeah, would love the capability to turn off gyro all together.

This topic needs something from that MacCriden topic!

the gif is already in this thread.

I do not want to give off the wrong impression. The game is awesome despite some control issues. Chapter 3, Level 1 blew me away.
I agree I would like an option without gamepad. Mainly because Gamepad dies in 2 hours.

Ok, but not in the OP.

And why is maxcriden juniored?
No clue, too many topics is my guess. But that is a guess.

So I just got an email about my copy "probably" being delayed due to some shipping problems and I should get it before next friday (Jan 12th) FUCK!
I called a few retailers near my area but it seems to be a widespread problem u___u
One even told me they don't expect the game before the end of the year. WAT?

Getting the check mark in Book 1 Level 15 without taking damage made me feel like a boss. Can't wait to see what later levels have in store. This game is soooooo good.

Gameplanet??? Ughghhhhhh same here! It's definitely a widespread problem. But I called a few retailers here and they said they will have it through the weekend, either tomorrow or sunday so freaking fingers crossed and hoping it's true!

Chingao :(

i don't have the game but i wanted to comment on something.

About the gyro: Why Nintendo used the gyro in "absolute" 1:1 motion for camera control when moving Toad normally? If they wanted to use it, should have been with a button held and different camera speeds and rotations with small increments of motion.

For first person view is ok to have "1:1 absolute motion" but with the thumbstick to do big sweeps of the camera.

Is kind of frustrating not be able to provide them with this feedback, since there's some potential good use of the gyroscope for camera control and aiming. BUt im in total agreement that for this game the option to turn it off should be available.

Also Wii Remote/Nunchuck could have worked perfectly, maybe even Wii Remote only if the game is not too dependant of precision analog control like 3D World.

Just found the Golden Mushroom in Book 1, Chapter 12. **** you game!
It is hidden in the ocean floor.
Edit: Challenge times only gets you a star near your time

11 stages in and I'm absolutely loving this game. Tokyo EAD delivers again.

Controls haven't bothered me so far. The I wish they wouldn't have that control tip appear on the screen periodically but it's at the bottom so it's not a big deal.

The gamepad vibrates when you're over a golden mushroom. I kind of liked discovering that through that particular level.

Fuck, I spent half an hour on this level and gave up, I disabled rumble because I hate it, now I have to turn it on.

Does the game seem TOO easy for you guys? I'm hoping that Nintendo decides to support this game with some dlc. It seems like a perfect fit with how its split into chapters and stuff.

First book done, with all gems and objectives. It's been said time and time again, but gosh this game is cute.

Really digging going for Challenge Times. Only done a few so far, but from what I can tell, reaching them requires near perfection. Actually managed to surpass one of them, too.

I also love the (bonus spoilers)
accessibility ladders they added to the SM3DW levels. Now even Captain Toad gets to get in on the fun of climbing the steps to the flagpole!

The game is adorable. The animations, the music, everything. I love the images in the manual also. It is a bit easy right now (I am 6 levels in) but I expect it to get tougher.

Couple of nitpicks

1) Why only the one save file?

2) Camera is a bit iffy at times but the snap 45 degree buttons and the snap camera to behind Toad button alleviate that.

Yeah, Gameplanet. Those bastards!! >.<
I tried Gamers Retail but they seem to have some major issues with their overall stock so no dice.

Guess I'll have to wait until next friday :<

Was impatient with Chapter 3 and did not realize that it was the last one. Oops!
They were stretching for the 70+ levels. There are 64 plus 4 extra and 6 bonus coin levels
