1. Uncharted 4 : I played and loved all the other games in the series and assuming there'll be multiplayer as good as TLoU multiplayer I have a feeling this going to be very special indeed

2. Witcher 3 : I love a good RPG and W2 was really good. I love the dark nasty characters and the dirty, sweaty environments.

3. The Order 1888 : looks dripping with atmosphere and I like the punchy weapons.

4. Zelda U : I liked the look of the recent gameplay and I'll watch this one very closely. I've played all Zelda games to date but I have almost zero interest in skyward sword for some reason so I hope Zelda U grabs me more.

5. Bloodbourne : This will be day one, no question.

6. Star Citizen : This looks really good. I'm hoping it will rekindle my xwing v tiefighter days.

7. The Division : This could be the co-op goty for me. Looks very impressive

1. Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain - It's been over six years since I've played a Metal Gear game and it feels like yesterday. Since I was a kid, MGS has been one of the reasons why I kept on playing video games and bought my consoles. Back in 2008, it was also the first time I actually believed Kojima when he said that he would do no more MGS games. I'm glad I was wrong.

2. No Man's Sky - A new generation of consoles means new experiences. At least I hope so. So far, not one game has been able to convince me to get a current-gen console. Shooters, sequels and unfulfilled potential. That's what I've seen thus far. No Man's Sky seems like the first game to offer something genuinely new and refreshing. Now, I hope I can muster up the patience to wait for the PC version.

3. Mortal Kombat X - Me and my buddies still play MK9 almost every time we meet up to play some games. We even held our own, modest MK9 tournament at our home short after launch. New characters are being introduced and it's reassuring to see that they appear to be interesting. The promise of more of that classic, ultra violent, fast paced, special move driven combat has me giddy in anticipation. The promise of different fighting styles less so.

4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - I was as underwhelmed with how that recent gameplay footage looked as I was impressed with the A.I. on display. Perhaps I expected too much from Naughty Dogs when it comes to graphics, but I'm pretty sure Uncharted 4 is still bound to be a class act from start to finish.

5. Bloodborne - A souls game set in a depraved, gothic, victorian-esque city made by the original Dark and Demon's Souls team? What's not to be excited about? Oh, right. it's a PS4 exclusive. Guess I'll be obliged to buy one then, huh?

6. Batman: Arkham Knight - Arkham Origins was decent but forgettable. With Rocksteady back at the helm, expectations are set accordingly. An original villain, created for the game, and Batmobile gameplay got me worried the game will lose it's razor sharp focus on smooth brawling and fast and fun stealth gameplay. Then again, the way this game looks is beyond fenomenal. And I've only seen the trailers and gameplay vids.

7. The Order 1886 - As elusive as it is exclusive, The Order refuses to properly reveal itself. Short snippets of gameplay have shown us standard 3rd person shooting and eye-popping graphics. That's enough to get me excited. Knowing Ready at Dawn is at the wheel and this feeling that they are holding back something important make me fucking pumped. If they are not holding back...Well.. The joke's on me, then.

8. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Haven't finished a Witcher game yet and somehow I'm pretty siked for this. The game being delayed to May 2015 gives me more time to buy that GTX 970 I've been saving up for.

9. Grand Theft Auto V (PC) - Here's one of the best games of last gen, completely overhauled and refined. They added a first person mode which gives me a reason to play through this game again. That, and I'm so jazzed to finally play GTA Online with my friends. In full HD, 30 players games, @ 60 FPS, with mods, etc...

10. Mad Max - Little is known about this game, but it's being developed by the dudes that made Just Cause 2. All I need to know.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain - Ground Zeroes seriously changed the way I view stealth games. I used to be able to enjoy games like Assassin's Creed, but now I just cringe at every handheld, unimpressive, and incredibly boring "stealth" sections of gameplay. But that was just a little taste. PP brings the promise of not only a truly amazing game, but an amazing stealth game. That's rare these days.

2. Batman Arkham Knight
3. The Division
4. The Witcher 3
5. Quantum Break

1. Uncharted 4 : (PS4) This series has to be one of my favorite video game series. I've played (and finished -- story mode) everything except for Fight for Fortune which was card game released on the Vita. I really don't want this to be the final game in the series. (Not that I want it to turn into something like Assasins Creed)

2. Persona 5 : (PS4) Quite a contrast to the Uncharted series for me, I own all of the SMT Persona games but haven't finished any of them. But that hasn't kept me from enjoying the story (what I've see of it), the atmosphere, and the superb OSTs. I purchased Persona 3 three different times: P3, P3FES, and P3P. (no regrets) -- I really need to buckle down and finish one/all of them.

3. Batman Arkham Knight : (PS4) I've finished Arkham Asylum and City but not played Origin or Blackgate yet. Being a DC comics fan, being able to experience Batman to the level of detail that Rocksteady has realized is more than I would have imagined. (Batman on the SNES just didn't cut it for me) Based on the trailers, it looks like the Batmobile is going to be fun as well.

4. The Order 1886 : (PS4) I'm still hoping this game delivers in terms of gameplay. From what I've seen the graphics are already there.

5. Final Fantasy XV : (PS4) Because...it's Final Fantasy.

6. Grim Fandango : (PS4 and Vita) I was never able to play the original release. This game should probably he higher on the list but it's been a while since I played a point and click adventure game.

7. Day of the Tentacle : (PS4 and Vita) This Tim Schafer game I have played. It is the measure by which I judge all similar adventure games. I'm hoping Grim Fandango lives up to this level of expectation.

8. Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition : (Vita) It will be so great to have this game on the go. Nostalgia setting in; between this and DotT above, I'll feel like I'm in college again.

9. Kings Quest : (PS4) Let's ride this nostalgia train through to the last stop. I played quite a few of the Quest games in the late 80's and into the 90's. I hope they manage to capture the charm of those games with this new release. I've heard Roberta Williams has given it her blessing. (sorry no source...not sure where I heard it) I hope that is a good sign.

10. Rime : (PS4) Having that ICO vibe has put this game on the list for me. ICO is my GOAT. Without knowing much else about it, that was enough for it to make the list.

Honorable mentions: No Man's Sky, Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Kingdom Hearts III (is it 2015?), Drawn to Death (2015? yeah, I liked what I saw from the trailer...come on Jaffe!)

EDIT: Since FFXV is pretty much a no show for 2015

1. Persona 5: PS4 - Possibly my favorite series so obligatory.
2. Uncharted 4: Thief's End: PS4 - Uncharted 3 was kind of a bummer or just U2.5...so I'm excited for the real Uncharted 3 and also most likely the end of Uncharted.
3. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD: PS4 - Looks better than FFXV from what I've seen.
4. Star Wars Battlefront: PS4 - Been so long
5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: PS4 - Witcher 2 probably is my favorite WRPG next to Mass Effect 2.
6. Cuphead: Steam - Looks really unique
7. Tales of Zestiria: PS3 - Wish this was coming for the PS4 instead but what can you do.
8. No Man's Sky: PS4 - Because I don't believe how big this game is.
9. Hotline Miami 2: Vita
10. The Order: 1866: PS4 - A while back I would have not cared, but now its starting to look good.

Honorable Mentions
-MGSV
-Bloodborne
-Yoshi's Wooly World
-Disgaea 5
-The Division
-Rainbow Six: Siege
-Persona 4: Dancing All Night

I'm looking forward to 2015, it proves to be a great year compared to how slow 2014 has been. I'll actually be buying a PS4 this year, because it sounds like there will be enough games to get me on board.
But there is no way I'll play all of these in 2015...probably like 3-5 only

1. Persona 5 : Persona 4 is my favourite game ever. Naturally, the follow up is my most anticipated titles.
2. Bloodborne : Dark Souls and Demon's Souls are excellent games. What more do I have to say?
3. Metal Gear Solid V : I just hope it is more like the good MGS games (2&4) and not like the not so good ones.
4. Witcher 3 : I never played the Witcher 1, but I really liked the Witcher 2. I'm excited to see if they can pull off the open world.
5. Zelda U : Console Zelda's haven't interested me since Windwaker, but I keep hoping. Maybe this one will be good!
6. Xenoblade Chronicles X : An epic RPG on my Wii U? Yes please!
7. Star Fox : Please make Star Fox good again!
8. Mount&Blade 2 : I rather enjoyed that Warband game I think it was, I am excited to see what a Mount and Blade game with perhaps a bigger budget and bigger team might be like.
9. Persona 4 Dancing All Night
10. Majora's Mask for the 3DS : Here is hoping it actually has meaningful additions/changes, unlike OoT 3D.

Also, I find it funny that like 4 of the top 10 most anticipated games for 2014, didn't actually come out in 2014.

1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : it's a new Zelda game, do I need to say more!
2. Bloodborne : new game from the creator of Demon's and Dark Souls - two of the most original and tightly designed games of the previous generation.
3. Youkai Watch : hopefully it's going to be localized in 2015. I like the setting and art style, and am exited to finally try it out
4. Darkest Dungeon : indie title that looks amazing with its Mignola-like art style and have interesting concept of dungeon crawling. Early access date is Feb 3 and I'm going to be there day 1
5. Metal Gear Solid V : I'm not going to miss the new spectacle by Hideo Kojima
6. Splatoon : I have high confidence in Nintendo and this game looks quite interesting (and new IP, yayt!)
7. Majora's Mask 3D : I haven't play the original, so I'm pretty excited to finally experience the dark side of the Zelda series. On top of that, I'm planning to get it with new 3DS (hopefully it will be released in Europe by that date)

1. Metal Gear Solid 5 - One of my favorite series and the new open-ish world nature should add a lot of interesting gameplay
2. Bloodborne - The real sequel to the souls franchise
3. Persona 5 - The next game in one of my favorite franchises
4. Zelda U - I'm apprehensive about their ability to fill a world with content, but it looks nice.
5. Rime - If I can't have The Last Guardian...
6. No Man's Sky - Not sure what it is yet but it sure looks pretty
7. Batman Arkham Knight - I'm hopeful that they'll do something interesting with the franchise again.
8. Uncharted 4 - I'm a bit over the franchise but it looks like it'll be a showpiece for the PS4
9. Witcher 3 - Hopefully it'll live up to expectations because I loved 2.
10. The Witness - Looks like a load of fun.

1. MGSV : My favourite franchise of all time, huge Metal Gear fan so it's a no brainer. Had some of my best online gaming moments on MGO1 and MGO2, and met the majority of my PSN friends on those games. Can't wait to see what MGO3 brings.

2. Uncharted 4 : Another one of favourite franchises - Uncharted 2 was one of my top 3 games of last gen so excited to see what Naughty Dog can do on PS4.

3. The Order 1886 : Ready at Dawn's PSP God of War games were brilliant so looking forward to seeing the step up to console. The graphics are astounding!

4. Batman Arkham Knight : Consistently high quality, don't expect anything different.

5. Ratchet & Clank PS4 : Loved ToD and ACiT, been waiting too long for another proper R&C game.

6. Drawn to Death : Love the art style of this game, looks interesting,

7. Battlefield Hardline : The cops & robbers theme really interests me - probably more so than just a standard Battlefield game.

8. Until Dawn

9. Silent Hills : Kojima.

10. Rainbow Six Siege

If you have a Vita, you should play the Golden version its much better. More voice acting, better Chie and Teddie voice actors, more social links, more things to do, in HD, trophies etc etc.

1. Bloodborne : For a Souls fan this is an easy pick. Come in and bleed.
2. Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void : Looking forward to see 'the end'. Already enjoyed the original back in the days. SC2 and HotS are very polished games and improved the RTS genre in a big way, especially Singleplayer wise.
3. Uncharted 4 : ND delivers with very high production values and extremly good polish. Their story telling hit a new high with TLOU for me.
4. Day of the Tentacle : PC. Just because of nostalgia.
5. Grim Fandango : PC. Well it's Grim Fandango!
6. Batman Arkham Knight : PC. I expect another high quality game, with improved mechanics and stunning graphics. Skiped Arkham Origins, now it's time to get back into gotham.
7. Witcher 3 : PC. Visualy stunning and gameplay wise promising.
8. MGSV : PC. Another console generation, another MGS, another buy.
9. GTAV : PC. Bought the PS3 version but didn't finish it because I always had hopes for this one.
10. Star Wars Battlefront : PC. Right before SW - VII my Star Wars hype level will be to high.

1. Uncharted 4
2. Halo 5 : hope against hope
3. No Man's Sky
4. Batman: Arkham Night
5. The Witcher 3
6. Bloodborne
7. Crackdown 3
8. MGS V

Oh, this is hard. There are so many interesting games (supposedly) coming out next year. I wouldn't know how to order them all, so I'll limit myself to a top five. Rest assured though I'm not doing just a top five because there are too few interesting games, but because five are all I can list.

1. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt : This game simply looks amazing. It has the potential of being the best RPG of all time in every regard; gameplay, story, music, you name it. It definitely has a lot to live up to. And hey, it was NeoGAF's most anticipated game of 2014, seems fair it should be the most anticipated of 2015 as well, no?

2. One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 : There's no way this game will make the GAF top 20, but as a huge One Piece fan this game looks phenomenal. I love Pirate Warriors 2 and this could only be better. I'm hoping for even better tuned gameplay and hopefully almost twice as many playable characters.

3. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : Let's see if this actually releases in 2015. If it does, I hope Nintendo can live up to their reputation, and manage to make a world that feels alive and is filled with activities. No worries regarding the dungeons; Nintendo got that part covered for sure.

4. Xenoblade Chronicles X : It looks like Xenoblade, plays like Xenoblade, sounds like Xenoblade. And everybody loves Xenoblade. If this game is everything that Xenoblade was, and improves on everything that Xenoblade did, there's no way they could screw it up.

5. No Man's Sky : They had my curiosity but now they have my full attention. This game could be the mother of all exploration. I've always been more of a fantasy guy than a sci-fi guy, but to me flying around space and visiting planets has never looked this exciting. This game does away with the dumb stereotypes of sci-fi.

1. Persona 5 - My first exposure to this series was playing Persona 3:FES last year and it immediately became one of my all time favorites. Playing Catherine had me foaming at the mouth thinking about similar graphics in a new Persona game. I fully plan to take off a couple days when this comes out.

2. Bloodborne - While I enjoyed DS2 overall, it didn't have nearly the impact on me that Dark Souls did. I can not wait to see what Miyazaki has in store.

3. Splatoon - I've been sold on this game since it's announcement (multiplayer looks fantastic with a decent amount of strategy involved) and the somewhat recent single player news is frosting on the cake.

4. No Man's Sky - I didn't know what to think of this game at first, but the gameinformer info put my hype through the roof. Many hours will be sunk into this game.

5. Uncharted 4 - I'm a fan of the series and Naughty Dog has yet to disappoint.

6. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - I love the claymation artstyle and this seems to be the perfect co-op game for my GF and I. I'm hoping for cool amiibo implementation.

7. Hotline Miami 2 Vita - Playing Hotline Miami with headphones was one of my favorites experiences with the Vita. I look forward to experiencing that again.

8. Zelda U - I feel like my hype would be higher for this game if I truly believed it will be out in 2015. Either way, I am very excited for this one.

9. Mario Maker - The implementation of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World sold me. This will be a day 1 purchase for me as long as online level sharing is included.

10. Witcher 3 - I'm not familiar with the series, but it is one that has been on my radar for a while.

5. Mortal Kombat X -- Shaping up nicely, but I'm skeptical at the Injustice influence with interactable backgrounds.
.

Interactibles started with the MK series so IGAU was influenced by MK more than the opposite. Regardless, MKX interactibles can be blocked, unlike Injustice, everyone uses interactibles the same (AFAIK) and they look to be more for traversal than flinging it full screen for 20 percent damage.

1. Halo 5 : I love Halo. Halo 4 was a bit of a let down but I have my fingers crossed this will be a return to form. The beta footage whilst quite different does actually look really fun, and if Halo 4's graphics were achievable on X360, I can't wait to see what a next gen campaign looks like. Blow me away 343!

ViQ3jtD.jpg

2. The Legend of Zelda U : I've played the odd Zelda game in the past but it was Wind Waker HD that got me really excited about the series and the new game looks awesome. Please give us some direct feed footage soon :3

xPlxGhj.jpg

3. Batman: Arkham Knight : I haven't properly played the prior Batman games which I probably should, but regardless, this next installment looks kickass. Launch out of the batmobile and start gliding? Sign me up.

file_115879_0_thewitcher3header.jpg

4. Witcher 3 : I love RPG's, but recently I've not given them enough attention due to the time commitment (I spend far too long on them) but I'm making my way through The Witcher 2 and really enjoying it, 3 looks even better so I can't complain.

Fpdrjgu.jpg

5. No Man's Sky : How does it play though? Jokes aside, I can't wait to get my hands on this and find an unexplored planet to stick my name on like an American flag in the dirt. I'll explore them legit though, no filming in a secret bunker with costumes ;)

tqdyMyg.jpg

6. Rainbow Six: Siege : I believe this was revealed at E3 right? This was the biggest surprise for me this year. The gameplay looks awesome, it seems to have all the ingredients of a multiplayer game I will be addicted too for awhile.

NnFCIWK.jpg

7. The Division : Please don't screw this up Ubisoft. The scope of it and the graphics seem really impressive, I just hope the finished product lives up to the hype.

HPKwAGk.jpg

8. Splatoon : Crazy, unique shooter by Nintendo? YES PLEASE! This looks awesome, it'll be something all of my family can play too. Ninty continue to make my purchase worthwhile.

3NAnIlx.jpg

9. Firewatch : I spotted this game awhile back, I don't know too much about it because I don't want to spoil myself and not much has been given away but the glimpses make me want more. And the art style is so yum yum. Check this game out if you haven't already!

xzdrW7l.jpg

10. Quantum Break : I'm not sure if this game is going to be really fun to play, but the crazy time mechanics and visual effects alone make me hyped. The stuff shown so far was crazy impressive. And I enjoyed Alan Wake so I have faith in Remedy.

Honourable mentions

A few of these are Playstation exclusives that are on this list purely because I don't own the console yet and haven't played previously titles in the respective series'.

Uncharted 4
Bloodborne
Metal Gear Solid V
Dying Light
Hyper Light Drifter

1. Uncharted 4 : This is my favourite new franchise in the last decade, and I've liked every one so far. One of the best things about it is the gunplay in respect to the level design, and UC4 looks like it's going to improve on that aspect much further. I'm sure it'll be fantastic, and I've no reason to doubt the developers.

2. The Order 1886 : I'm a fan of third person shooters in general. With this game in particular, I also love the setting and atmosphere. This was the first next generation game I was excited for, so it'll be great to have the finished product soon. I've liked what I've played, and I hope RAD deliver with the full campaign.

3. Metal Gear Solid V : When I think of my two favourite series of all time, MGS is one of them. My hype for this game has been kept in check because I've deliberately avoided any media or information for it. But even with that, I'm still eager to get my hands on it. MGS4 was disappointing, but it's been long enough that I'm ready to jump in again. I'm sure I'll enjoy this game much more because I'm pretty much going in blind. Here's to hoping it's a return to form.

4. Batman Arkham Knight : It's Batman.

5. Persona 5 : Never played a Persona game before. I blame GAF mostly. Somehow they've made me interested in this and it's likely going to be one of the titles I end up playing. I'll give it a spot on this list for that reason.

1. Zelda Wii U - In my top 3 favourite franchise, maybe even number 1. I will finally buy a Wii U when this game releases. I have not been dissapointed in previous Zelda console games and I am sure this one will be great as well. I really like what I have seen so far.

2. Batman: Arkham Knight - City and Asylum being my GOTY for the years they were released, this one is a no brainer for me. Enjoyed playing Origins as well.

3. The Division - Very impressive visuals so far and I liked the atmosphere and feel they have shown so far. Could be a great multiplayer game or could be crap. Only time will tell.

4. GTA V (PC) - I have not played this game and am looking forward to the PC release.

5. Rainbow Six: Siege: It's about time. It's been a while since I played Vegas 2 with friends and had a lot of fun.

6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

7. Star Wars: Battlefront

8. Might & Magic Heroes VII

9. Mortal Combat X

10. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker

Shouldn't we make a list of games that are ineligible? I'm seeing quite a bit of those.

I agree.
Might be too late for some never returning to the thread, but at least it won't need explanations/debates in the results thread.

Xenoblade or Persona 5.

Likely Xenoblade since there are some people here who are only listing Nintendo games.

I think you overestimate the GAF Nintendo-Only sect. They're quite small. I think Persona 5 will win without too much trouble.

Xenoblade or Persona 5.

Likely Xenoblade since there are some people here who are only listing Nintendo games.

Those games will make the list (or at least Persona will) but Bloodborne, Witcher, MGSV, Uncharted and Zelda will be ahead. Maybe Batman and Halo too.

1. Overwatch:
I love competitive e-sport titles and I also happened to love Team Fortress 2. Overwatch looks to be Blizzard's first good game since vanilla WoW and their focus on e-sport with this title makes me very excited. Also, it's undoubtedly a spiritual sequel to TF2. Will upgrade my computer to 4K monitor and 60 FPS for this. Yup.
2. Star Wars: Battlefront:
Star Wars is one of my favorite universes. Frostbite 3 is a gorgeous engine and I cannot wait until I get to fly around and fight with godly music and sound effects a la DICE skills in massive maps with what is sure to be another excellent war simulator.
3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain:
Metal Gear Solid on PS1 was my first game that I bought myself and I will never ever forget that feeling or how magical that title was to me. It's a franchise I'll hold close to my heart forever because of that and the nostalgia is high for this one as well. Expecting some truly new and innovating features that dazzle my mind like before.
4. Killing Floor 2:
You could say it's a better Left 4 Dead and you would probably be right. At least until L4D3 comes out. With permanent blood and serious focus on realistic gore and massive improvements over the past game, I know I'll spend way too much time cutting zombies into millions of pieces and basque in a masquerade of blood everywhere.
5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt:
I am a sucker for games that claim graphical achievements. And when CD Projekt Red told me to save my money to upgrade my computer to handle all the technical goodness of this game, I was intrigued. I hope the downgrade doesn't strike and that the PC will get all the power it needs. Oh, and I also expect the most life-life world of any RPG I've played.
6. Bloodborne:
I never got into the Souls series because of poor graphics and sub-30 FPS framerate issues which made me nauseated. With Bloodborne, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, at least the graphics are gorgeous this time around and the co-op makes it for a perfect Friday night game.
7.Silent Hills:
I believe in Kojima and I believe this might be the true revival of the horror genre. It was a close match between this and Until Dawn, but I ultimately chose this one because of previous experience with the developer.
8.Uncharted 4: A Thief's End:
Though I just skimmed few the other Uncharted games, the 15-minute demo looked amazing and the combat looked next-gen for sure. I'll give this game a shot and I expect it transcend lines between cinematic and gaming.
9. No Man's Sky:
It seems too ambitious to be believable and thus I put it in second last. If they deliver, it might very well be higher, but for now I am not sure it will. But the thought of endless possibilities with the gorgeous design this game has chosen has me very excited.
10. Evolve:
Turtlerock are kings. I played the alpha for roughly 20 hours with my friend and it convinced us both that this game is something special and worthy of any top ten list. I predict many fun nights with friends and a lot of crazy monster hunts and chases and everything in between which it brings.

1. Uncharted 4 : This is a day 1 buy for me, i trust completely on ND to deliver a great game.

2. Final Fantasy XV : Even though i despise SE, i still love this series.

3. No Man's Sky : Can't wait to delve into the universe

4. The Order 1886 : Well, it's the prettiest game on consoles, so it's a no brainer for me.

So, interesting trend I'm noticing...a lot less Witcher 3 than last year. I know, personally, my hype levels have dwindled. But that may be in the light of all the rest of the games 2015 has to offer. I'm not sure the delays helped, though. I haven't been keeping with updates as much as I used to.

1. The Order: 1886 : Horror-themed action, werewolves, an alternate history, and amazing visuals. Sounds like a good combination to me.
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : I enjoyed the previous two entries, and I'm all for more of the same in an improved form.
3. Batman: Arkham Knight : Same as above.
4. Resident Evil HD Remaster : The original was the first game I played on the PS1 in 1998, after half a decade's gaming break, and I've been wanting to play the remake for years.
5. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter : I've heard very positive feedback about it after the PC release, and the moody horror theme seems to be right up to my alley.
6. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture : Same as above, when it comes to the theme of the game.
7. No Man's Sky : Sci-Fi and exploring, just what I love. It remains to be seen how long the procedurally generated content keeps me interested in playing.
8. Bloodborne : The audiovisual style of this and the Souls series is something I adore, the only downside could be the difficulty level, which is why it's not very high on my list.
9. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : I never had the chance to play the previous ones, but it seems to be an RPG I don't want to miss. Although, starting from the 3rd isn't really an optimal scenario, but it didn't affect my gaming experience negatively with DA:I either.
10. SOMA : This will be my first Frictional game, and the setting seems even more intriguing than that of Amnesia. I'm somewhat sceptical about the run & hide type of gameplay though, as it's not my favorite thing.

Interestingly, almost half of my list consists of indies.

Other games to look forward to: Dying Light & Dead Island 2. I found Dead Island and Riptide enjoyable to play, despite of their flaws, and it's great to have two similarly themed games from two different teams. It's not good on my wallet though.

Left Silent Hills & Rime out, as their release dates are TBA at the moment.

1) Uncharted 4 : Can Naughty Dog please do an Archer game?
2) The Order : Looks like a very entertaining and atmospheric game.
3) Batman: Arkham Knight : While not terribly enthused about Batmobile gameplay, its Batman, and Rocksteady does a great job of making me feel the part.
4) The Witcher 3 : The gameplay of the series has never fully resonated with me, but I enjoy the characters and the story.
5) Bloodborne : The characters and the story of the series have never resonated with me, but I enjoy the gameplay.
6) Yoshi's Wooly World : A perfect game to play with my kids
7) Ratchet & Clank PS4 : Most R&C games have been a blast. Curious how closely the art style will match SO. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more rail grinding than in past R&C games....
8) King's Quest : For nostalgia's sake
9) Assassin's Creed: Victory : I'm also part of the problem. Maybe this time hidden glyphs will return.......who am I kidding.....I say that every game...
10) Grim Fandango : Tim Schafer

My top-ten. Only pc and wiiu. I don't care about others.

1-) Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
2-) Splatoon
3-) Xenoblade Chronicles X
4-) The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
5-) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
6-) Yoshi's Wooly World
7-) Batman: Arkham Knight
 Mortal Kombat X
9-) Star Fox (Wii U)
10-) Just Cause 3

1. Legend of Zelda Wii U

Its a Zelda title, a console Zelda title. I love console Zeldas, and Skyward Sword was the best Zelda yet, so I have faith that this will be even better. Big open world, akin to Skyrim, Just looks damn good.

2. No Man's Sky

So excited for this, just looks like a lot of fun.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Oh man, how can I not anticipate this!? Open world stealth, vast customisation options, a ponytail! MGSV is shaping up to be my most anticipated title for next year, despite my enthusiasm waning a little due to the lack of release date. Nevertheless, when it finally hits, I will lose myself in Afganistan, Africa, Mother Base/Outer Heaven and wherever else they decide to add in. Not to mention the online modes. As long as they ditch that ridiculous Konami ID shit, I can see myself playing it daily.

2. Bloodborne : I only played Dark Souls this year (after an on-again-off-again relationship with it) and once it clicked. It really clicked, so Bloodborne is naturally high on my list. A victorian era Dark Souls sounds right up my street, and everything I've seen about the game so far looks and sounds incredible.

3. Persona 5 : I can't be too hyped about this yet, since we know next-to-nothing about the game outside the protagonist design (which I love) but it's a new mainline Persona game, I'm gonna dig it. I'm really interested on what system it'll implement and what improvements to the dungeons and battles there will be.

4. Batman: Arkham Knight : While I'm still on the fence about the batmobile, everything else looks damn good, and I have faith that Rocksteady will deliver a true next-gen Arkham experience.

5. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt : Have to admit, I'm not as keen on the Witcher franchise as a lot of you are, but that doesn't mean I dislike the games. I only played II, but I did enjoy it, despite being a little overwhelmed by the lore and the world, and I hope III will deliver a similarly good experience. Plus I really respect the devs, so I have to give them something to show my support.

I think the top three will come down to Persona 5, Bloodborne and either Uncharted 4 or Metal Gear Solid V, going by people's choices. Eager to see the results.

Let's see...

1. Persona 5

After playing the vanilla version of Persona 4 in the Playstation 2 back there in 2008 it quickly became one of my favorite games ever. After playing it I became a fan of the MegaTen series in general, so this is the game I'm most excited about.

2. Xenoblade Chronicles X

The world seems massive, and if it's anything like the one in the original Xenoblade, traveling around it will be incredibly fun and incredibly rewarding. I just hope that the Heart-to-Heart system sees a little revamping; I would like to be able to pick who my MC likes, thank you.

3. The Legend of Zelda Wii U

It's Zelda, on a massive scale. What else can I ask? Fresh after ALBW (game I recently played, and it's fucking amazing) I'm sure that the Zelda team will create something special.

4. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

One of my favorite Zelda games on a handheld. Sweet.

5. Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker

I have played the original already, but the promise of a second story as big as the original is tempting me to pick this version too. Something to notice is that I probably won't pick this one up at launch, screw the $50 USD tag. Shame, but those $10 USD really make a difference when buying games outside the US

6. Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX

Eh, what can I say? I'm a sucker for the Project Diva games ._.

7. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea

The conclusion of the Dusk trilogy of the Atelier games. I've only played Escha & Logy so far (and still need to finish it) but I'm pretty excited for this one after doing so.

8. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

After playing the first HM I became a fan, and sure as hell want to keep playing more levels. Hopefully the new mechanics will be great, like the dual-character control.

9. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

Will finally be able to play this game... hopefully. I still need to buy a PS4 :lol.
Anyway, looks like a good twist on the FF formula, and hopefully the game will be at least good.

10. Persona 4: Dancing all night

I love Persona, its music and music games, so this game sounds like a dream come true, right? Sadly, we still haven't gotten any good footage of the gameplay, and that's the reason why this game is so low on my list.

1. Batman: Arkham Knight: Rocksteady. Batman. Yes.

2. Bloodborne: I never got into Dark Souls (just no time) but I loved Demon's Souls. This looks awesome and I can't wait to play it.

3. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number: This was suppose to come out in 2014, but pushed back into 2015. Loved the first game and this one looks to be more of the same. Hoping the soundtrack is as epic as the first one.

4. Uncharted 4: ND makes the best games, IMO. Looks fantastic.

5. The Order 1866: I have gone from hyped, to not hyped, to semi-hyped for this.

6. No Man's Sky: This game almost sounds too good to be true. It promises a lot, so I have doubts it will be able to keep them all. We'll see.

7. King's Quest: Pure nostalgia here.

I think it'd be best if we just had a blacklist of titles that we shouldn't nominate. People including these games in their lists are basically losing nominations.

FFXV and KH3 included in the OP is a start but we're still getting lots of Silent Hills and such.
