It makes no sense to me that her name is Cindy. It should be Sidney like it is in Japanese. Sidney is much closer to Cid than Cindy. WTF is that.
I am for 9 years already. lol I remember showing a friend all the trailers in 2011 and we were hyping together. You seem suddenly hyped for FFXV

Promptos on the floor, gladiolus fell down, and ignis is dead in rhe chair. Noct probably just got back from a washroom break
I hyped tones over FFXIII, but this one seems less crazy, more real and definitely getting more justified with each passing trailer.Again, I don't think the FFXIII hype train was like this. I lurked back then but I couldn't feel it like this then.
This is a different beast lol. It's like a 9 year tease.

I think that the main difference for me is that now I've seen the franchise do wrong and apart from being hyped I'm truly hoping for them to do good, to redeem themselves and to make another memorable iteration
BELIEVE
This looks like everything that FF XIII should have been, or rather - what Final Fantasy needed to be after XII. Changing things up, making a fresh take on the JRPG formula, with enough classic undertones so that we know it's Final Fantasy.
Personal speculation is that Nomura's Versus was going to be darker/more melodramatic/Shakespearean. But the current incarnation is literally fantastic, so I'll take it.I don't even know if this is what Nomura's vision was, but I really don't care anymore.
The voice acting is horrible.. Not sure why so many in this thread are praising it.
If you truly think the voice acting is great, take a moment and watch a few videos of Final Fantasy XII, compare the voices.
I was really hoping they would bring back whatever studio/agency they used for Final Fantasy XII, it would have fit the setting and characters of XV perfectly..
Oh well, I really hope for Japanese voiceover DLC..
Dual voices are confirmed already.
Dual voices are confirmed already.
But only for the demo for now.
For the demo yes, but what about the final product?
For me, FFXIII was reverse hype compared to Versus/XV. WHen both were announced, I was anticipating XIII MORE than Versus(which looked like it wanted to continue the mopey tone of Advent Children). FFXIII, to me, had more promise. Then, more information was released and my hype for FFXIII slowly diminished(considering they were originally promising one type of game, then eventually did something else). Though, everything released regarding Versus, up until modern FFXV, has gotten me more and MORE interested in the game. FFXIII started off as over-the-top hype and by the time I completed it, I was ran into the ground. This one started off with very low expectations, but every nugget of joy released regarding it seems to lift me higher and higher.I hyped tones over FFXIII, but this one seems less crazy, more real and definitely getting more justified with each passing trailer.

BELIEVE
I'm afraid of thinking about a new golden age for the series, but the thought is kept deep inside my mind, ready to pop out when the time is right.....will it be now? We'll see, in the meantime, HYPE!I have never, ever seen anything like this in anything, ever.
Like, I couldn't even fathom something like this existing lol. I don't even know if this is what Nomura's vision was, but I really don't care anymore.
I'm solely hyped for this because of how unique it is at this point.
This didn't happen to me, I believed it would be epic until I played it, you can imagine the meltdown lol the game was good, but not Final Fantasy good, and the sequels didn't make things better, after so many years circling around the XIII environment, we need something new, and if it looks this good, even betterFFXIII started off as over-the-top hype and by the time I completed it, I was ran into the ground. Eh, if the trailers we've seen in the past few months are any indication, it sounds like they're plenty dark for what's the prologue of the game.
Country gets invaded, dad potentially killed, on the run from evil empire. And that's just the offset. The only difference is that we aren't seeing Noctis brooding or crawling on his skin, the wounds would not heal over the fact.
This game's gonna have some extremely nice looking cutscenes. The lighting, hair/cloth movement, and character animation all seems top notch.
Right, the only thing that's keeping me waiting is the actual invasion of Insomnia and the party scene. Everything else seems to directly correlate with FFXV from E3 2013, and Nomura's Versus.
They're definitely keeping Insomnia under wraps and the whole Luna/Stella deal.

Yeah, i'm sure the more emotional or epic moments will go down the history of cutscenes, much like FFVII or X.
I wonder what's happening in that snowy scene. Is it a bad dream that Noctis is having or is it confirmed that the cast is dead already?
Do we know who's the Event Director for FFXV?
Say what you'd like about Toriyama's terrible directorship, I felt that in terms of storyboarding, FFX was top-notch when it came to visual works of the cutscenes.

A real shame Tabata got rid of Jun Akiyama (FFXII), a much bigger loss than Nomura imho.
Sigh.....I love seeing the new footage and trailers and everything....but it is really obvious that this is a 2016 game. Oh well.
The wiki says Hiroki Chiba.
